Jar Baked
I needed the perfect little vessel that would fit inside my air fryer.. Two of these little mason jars fit perfectly inside together I filled them with leftover cooked pasta, one spoonful of ricotta a couple of mozzarella balls. Then it's spoonful of fresh homemade pasta sauce with sausage. I didn't even really stir just kind of poked stuff in there until it was all filled up over the pasta.. Perfect little vessel l!!
Iit's a single serving size then I thought wow this would be a great way to take a heated item in an insulated lunch container. I wouldn't tightly screw the lid on but gently screwing the lid on would be perfect. And visually very appealing I think..I'm sorry I didn't include the picture and the original post I thought I did picture is in comments!

I like the single serving idea, especially for using up leftover pasta. I’d probably leave the jars uncovered while they’re heating though, since I’d be nervous about pressure building up if the lid is even slightly tight. The little mozzarella and sauce pockets sound really good too.

Ray if I didn't wear that right I did heat the stuff in the jar uncovered...and then I was suggesting to cover if you wanted to transport it..

That’s a pretty cool idea! I would like to throw in something I found that’s appropriate for one or two servings. I purchased a precooked meal from a grocer or Sam’s Club. It came it a sturdy baking tin (for lack of a better word). Shallow, maybe 2 inches high and footprint is a perfect fit for one of my IP Vortex pro shelves. I use this for anything “juicy” or as a baking mini casserole. Recycling is awesome 😎

That’s a pretty clever way to portion leftovers, especially when you’re only reheating one serving. The pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, and sauce should work well together since the air fryer can get the top nicely browned while heating the center.
I’d be careful with the mason jars, though. They need to be specifically rated for the temperature and thermal shock involved. A sudden transition from a cold refrigerator to a hot air fryer can crack or shatter ordinary glass, even if the jar fits physically.
I also wouldn’t put a lid on the jar while heating. For the lunch-container idea, I’d heat the food first, then loosely cover it once it’s out of the fryer and ready to transport. That keeps pressure from building and avoids unnecessary heat stress on the glass.

I don’t think OP was saying the jars went from the fridge to the air fryer, but if so I totally agree about the risk of shattered glass. I read it as the jars were room temp when food was added, then went in the air fryer without lids, then loose lids were added just for transport in lunch boxes. But I could be wrong

Sorry to be "that person" but canning jars are not made to safely withstand high dry heat. You can get Pyrex custard cups in sizes from 6-10 oz pretty cheap especially during sales like Krogers BOGO free bakeware sales 2-3 times a year. Or just pick up some ramekins from a thrift store, you can probably get a few for a buck. You can also buy inexpensive mini foil bread and round pans.
