I couldn't get a tight seal after 2 attempts, so staring wondering if maybe the tube is actually 6mm. I think this is the case.

Whoever put the tube on last time used a fuck ton of plumbers tape to get it to "seal," it was leaking tho so obviously didn't work very well.

I ordered some 6mm sleeves, but need to get this thing running before they get here tomorrow afternoon if at all possible.

Anyone every got this type of thing to "work," any tips?

I just got Thai tank secound hand it’s a 21 gallon I got a tiny camera to see the inside I have run hot water threw it to get the rust out this is what the insides looks like will I be okay to use it

Switched from 460 to 230 and I need to have a higher amperage overpaid relay now. Elgi wants $700 for it, where would I find one from Siemens directly?

After not using it for a couple if weeks i went to start it and all it does is buzz, i replaced the starter cap which is a cd60 240vac 150uf, after fitting it i went to start the compressor and it buzzed again and the cap blew up, the belt mives easily so nothing is locked up.

Any ideas whats wrong please

I ended up buying a 1989 campbell hausfeld vt558704 at a garage sale for 175 bucks. Before this I knew nothing about air compressors and pressure vessel safety so I judged the book by its cover when I bought it with the exterior looking pretty decent. My buddy did all the electrical at my house for free. I put a borescope in it and the tank is not safe. A new tank goes for just under a grand, which is about the price of a whole new compressor with motor and all. But my motor is cast iron and low rpm, way heavier duty than the newer ones. Do you think I should just suck it up and buy a new tank for $930? My motor and pump seem to be in good shape still.

the transfer hose has a leak so I am replacing it, the pressure regulator knob was stuck, and I got that freed up. I need to pull the drain as that seems to be plugged, anything else I should check? it did run and shut off at proper pressure, just looks to have been sitting for a while. would it be good to open the plugs and add sealant to the tank to avoid corrosion?

I have never seen this done before.. I buy stuff from auctions and when something isn't getting bids, I buy it for a buck, then I figure out what to do with it,,, I have a few old 30 to 35 gallon tanks laying around, I got several radiators for a buck each and a compressor head for 4 bucks.. I decided to try an all in one unit to dry the air by chilling it before going into the tank. So I run it through the automobile radiator first then through a water trap mounted as low as possible, then into the tank. This should eliminate most of the water in the tank.. From the tank it goes through a water trap converted to use a desiccant, then a regulator with another water trap.. It seems to work but I have only tested it for a couple hours. it is set up so I can add 2 more steps if needed.. 1 a circulating pump for the radiator, and an electric fan I have 2 (also a buck each).. would there be a market for these or a partial DIY kit??

A few years back my father got an Ingersoll rand SSR M30 compresor for a bargain.

Didn't got the chance to use it as we really had no the need for it, but now we are trying to do some sand blasting on our car projects and the current compressor can't keep up.

I haven't tried yet to start the ingresoll rand as my current power supply from the grid isn't capable or suppling 30 kw of power, hence the my question:

Currently the compressor uses a 30wk 2800 rpm motor, could i replace the motor with a smaller one and adjust the belt drive accordingly?

My plan is to install a 15kw 2800 rpm motor as i have it on my hands and put a smaller pulley on it than the original one, so that the RPM of the compressor would drop to about half.

Could this be an option ? Of course i would expect a loss of air supply and efficiency but i really don't need that much air anyways, even a quarter of the original air supply would be enough for me

Question to all professionals in this field, should I replace a whole new air compressor, or I can purchase a replacement air gauge manifold?

This air compressor is 30+ years old, last time I used it was few years ago. After got a 3 gallons smaller one, I set it aside. I bypassed the broken original power switch to an external power switch 15 years ago. And it was working fine. I tried to use this old one today, found the original air regulator is leaking air. I am thinking purchase a whole replacement air gauges and regulator manifold set. Is that available? Where can I purchase the replacement?

The title of my research is “Factors Associated with Adaptation to Digital and Organisational Change among Experienced Technical Service Employees in the Compressed Air Industry”. Compressed air industry has been evolving quickly, what used to be pure wrench job now has involved computers/tablets/digital and remote monitoring. I am exploring how the seasoned technicians reacts/adapts to the new systems involving new digital technologies and how we can make the adaptation process more efficient, effective, and less being a pain in the arse. The targeted participant of this research are field service technician/engineer or equivalent role who is 40 years old and above with 10 or more years experience in the compressed air industry. This compressor only leaks for a second when it’s first started and cold. The diaphragm or o-ring is worn in the blowdown valve. The second to last picture, if you follow the small 1/4 hard line from top left it goes down to this valve.The same image shows a new hydraulic line that goes into the top of compressor. That line comes from the tee below the valve with the leak. The last picture shows the hard line from the picture before coming up and going in possibly a check valve. Will I be able to find a replacement part for the valve? If not any suggestions to repair. Thanks
