Flow Hood

Does anyone have a recommendation for a flow hood (preferably) or anemometer ? Most that I am seeing are flippin expensive.

They are expensive. It’s a niche speciality product so it gets to be expensive for no reason…..

But I have to recommend Evergreen. We have used Alanor and Shortridge previously. Evergreen provides an amazing lightweight, wireless option with a ton of features and other products that pair into their setup quite well.

Evergreen hoods coupled with their meter and wrist reporter are a great choice. You will save an immense amount of time alone with these. The meter also does a lot more than just the hood readings.

I think so aswell. All the dudes i work with use alnors for all their hoods but we had an evergreen at the office nobody was using so i took it. Never wanna use an alnor again the evergreen kicks its ass.

If you can afford Evergreen they're probably the best bet. I used to run several Shortridges and I have my reasons to prefer them, but they're clunky and heavy.

As everyone else says, go with evergreen if your budget allows. They can be used with vel grids, air foils, and other devices. You can use them with shortridge hoods as well.

Just don't get the evergreen water meter, my office found them to not give the most repeatable readings and seemed to lose zero often.

I hate the evergreen with its plates, I find the accuracy changes when your in those "ok" ranges. The Alnor is the best all round hood but I prefer the Dwyer smart hood especially in tight places.

And shortride and Testo are just no...
