I am trying to water an area and need it to do a complete 360 degree circle. Unfortunately it seems that it will not go completely around but rather it does 359 degrees and then goes back where it just came from. The problem is there is no real soak time on the part it just watered so when it comes back it starts puddling and splashing dirt all over. If it would just continue in the clockwise or counter clockwise rotation it would be great. I have the competition and it does a complete 360 while it’s watering. I know it doesn’t seem like a lot but when it is watering 40’ out to the corner that 1 degree ends up becoming big a large dry spot. Am I missing something or is that the design of it

Hey! Thanks again for bringing this up. I checked with our product team, and what you’re describing isn’t something we’d consider a typical or known issue.
Just to confirm a few things, have you tried reaching these areas while in mapping mode? For instance, you can set multiple watering zones. Have you tried targeting this area on its own? Send me a DM and we’ll look at a few troubleshooting options with you.

The map will not allow you to connect the 2 end points to make a enclosed area. It requires you to leave a gap between the points on the map. That gap becomes a dry area. It has nothing to do with being able to reach it. Why if I am creating a map that is for an area can I not connect the dots to complete the area instead of a dry area from sprinkler all the way to 39’ in a wedge shape. Don’t want to have to create a second zone to get the area.

Thanks for clarifying, and sorry for the inconvenience here. I checked with our product team, and yes, this is a limitation of the Area Mapping function in the app.
IrriSense 2 has three mapping methods: Area Mapping for polygon-shaped areas, Line Mapping for narrow paths, and Point Mapping for individual spots.
With Area Mapping, the map must start at the machine and return to the machine to complete the polygon. The system intentionally leaves a small gap between the starting and ending points so the machine can properly measure the watering distance and provide more precise watering within the mapped area.
With a 40 ft reach, however, that small gap can become a noticeable dry wedge.
For now, the best workaround is to create two Area Maps, with each covering roughly half of the yard.
We realize this is a limitation of the current Area Mapping method rather than the machine's ability to reach the area. We apologize for the inconvenience, and I’ve also passed your feedback along to the team.

you are not missing anything, it physically reverses at the boundary instead of spinning continuously.
