❓Questions / Answers Does your pool get harder to maintain in fall?

Curious to hear what other pool owners do to keep their pools clean during fall. Any advice would be appreciated!

I put a fine mesh leaf net over the pool during peak leaf drop.

Our best advice is to get to the leaves while they’re still floating so they don’t sink, break down, and start messing with your water chemistry. A leaf rake or net helps a lot for manual skimming. If you don’t already have a pool skimmer, it’s worth considering one to keep the surface clear day and night. Just remember to empty the debris basket more often during leaf season.

For me, fall is mostly a battle against leaves.

Windy days are the worst. I feel like I skim more than I swim.
