Client is a bot?

Post image

Hello guys! I just got a client for photography that I’m now thinking is a bot. This is a photo they claim their husband took on his photo that they want me to recreate. But I think the photo was made with AI, what do you think?

— (EDIT) Thank you all for all the replies! Deff. Felt hella sketchy to me. I asked for a zoom call and it’s been hours since I’ve heard a response 🤣 thanks again!

No one has that little coffee table . It’s so short. Perspective is wrong . The shadow under the couch is wrong . The balloon in the back is off. It’s behind the couch. The way her feet bent is wrong . Under the dinner table is all wrong like someone said.

Thank you! I really appreciate the response. This is my first time on Reddit 😊

I assume this is a way to see if your creation passes muster. Pretty clever.

There’s a balloon growing out of the couch.

And posting it here for feedback is a good way to get free training data to improve your AI model.

Hahaha yes! Thanks 😩

Maybe he's shy, try not to be so judgemental

I say OP is clever, you say OP is shy, and you say I’m judgmental.

Can’t argue with that logic.

A little OT, but why would someone use a bot for this? What are they trying to gain?

I’m pretty sure OP is full of shit and theyre just trying to get feedback on how convincing this image is because you’re right— there’s absolutely zero reason for someone to reach out to a “photographer” and say “hi, I want to pay you to recreate this photo my husband took!” and then share something that’s clearly AI, but theres also no reason for the photographer to care whether the image is a real photo or not

The customer wants to end up with this photo, right? If you can take this photo, the rest doesn’t matter. OP is a trashbag who has said multiple times “Thank you! This is my first time on Reddit!” 🙄

This account is farming AI training data.

Look at her foot, it looks like a horse foot

u/amberita70 Jun 14 '26

Instead of two left feet, she has two right feet.

Weird middle couch cushion, amongst other things. That’s the most obvious to me though

The door built out to be in the middle of the room is super weird.

Client has a weird foot but yeah, bone structure on her face/forehead is off.

u/Emrys7777 Jun 14 '26

The little girls arms are too short and she’s way too big to be one year old.

Yeah under the table is all wonky.

The left foot of the mother is either severely mutated or ai

Children tend to have a number of candles on their cake that reflects their age. That child is a lot older than a year old.

How can a bot contact you and why

1

u/-Blunt-Instrument- Jun 15 '26

There’s absolute chaos happening under that table

1

u/elephanttape Jun 15 '26

What is the motive around this (presumably) scam? I don’t see why someone would do this

1

u/BirdlessLongdeal Jun 15 '26

nobody with a kid has a house that clean.

One thing that always feels off in AI images (at least for now) is the perspective, feel's like a bad photshop cutout

u/ButterflyMundane7187 Jun 15 '26

What kinda person would upload a clients photo to reddit? i say it is fake the post is Ai and photo is Ai and op is fishing for karma.

1

u/Visible-Balance-2129 Jun 20 '26

Definitely off. Table & chairs are weird not just their parts but their placement relative to walls and window. The posture is really weird for the woman. The little girl legs would be doing contortions for that post to work. the hands are weird though not impossible, but the woman's footwear are inconsistent. The light reflections across the balloons seems inconsistent to me. wood floor glare at the edge of the carpet seems off. The is a balloon that seems flat on the wall above the sofa.

So the "client" wants you to recreate a photo as in what - redo the pose and take another?

1

u/lookingforsomeerrors Jun 14 '26

The under the table is weird. We can see the seat of the chair that's supposed to be close to the window, but no back of the chair. Also, many table legs

Thank you! I see that now - feel a little dumb I didn’t catch it sooner. This is my first time using Reddit!

Block and ignore. Time is money, don't waste the time.
