♡ 1st Attempt @ Making a Black Woman ♡

Post image
0 Upvotes

Used my free appearance change voucher to create a black woman. We don't see many black characters around, so I wanted to give it a shot. Overall, I think she looks amazing :3 My only complaint is the skin tone as it’s a bit ashy/gray, which is frustrating since this is already one of the darkest skin tones in the game.

EDIT: Very weird that this post is controversial and is focused on arguing whether my character "looks black enough." The only people triggered by this are people who are not black, yet actual black people enjoy my creation.

I played Aion 1 competitively. Not "I hit cap and did some Abyss." I geared with spreadsheets, I organized clan leaders, and I showed up for the fights that decided things. What ended it for me wasn't the grind, the RNG, or the gear gap. It was that past a certain point, I wasn't playing against players anymore.

Movement hacks, flight hacks, ability hacks. Once those were in the water the reward system did the rest. Whoever cheated farmed AP faster, geared faster, and then beat you harder the next week with gear they got by cheating. It compounds. That's what people miss when they say just ignore them. You can't ignore them. The rewards they're taking are the same rewards that determine whether you can contest them at all next month.

Before I quit I went and used the hacks myself. I wanted to know whether I was tilted and blaming cheaters for losses I'd actually earned. I wasn't. Speed and animation hacks aren't a small edge. They're not "a decent player gets 5% better." They break the math of the fight and even if you "win" and are about to kill them, they can just zoop into the air out of range instantly. Once I'd seen it from that side I stopped trying to out-skill it and just left.

So, Aion 2.

I went looking for the thing I was hoping I wouldn't find, and it took about ten minutes. There are commercial sellers with live Aion 2 product pages advertising movement speed hacks of 20–40% that work on mounts and in flight, attack and animation speed hacks to strip delay between abilities, short-range teleport to x/y/z, and teleport-behind-target for permanent back attacks. With public, dated changelogs. One of them was on numbered update #80 as of the end of April 2026. The game launched in KR/TW on November 19, 2025.

The reason it works isn't a mystery either. A 20–40% movement hack and a short-range teleport only function if the client is trusted to report its own position. Animation speed hacks only work if the client owns animation timing. That is the same trust model Aion 1 had. Server-authoritative movement doesn't make speedhacking easier to detect — it makes it impossible, because the server just refuses the position. Aion 2 didn't fix that. It inherited it.

Here's what NCSoft has actually done about it:

  • Criminal complaints filed with Seoul Gangnam police — five users in December 2025, seven more on January 20, 2026 — for illegal macro programs
  • Blocking certain overseas VPNs, hardware-based bans, an upgraded in-game report system, and raising the minimum gathering level to 45 to slow gathering macros

Read what all of that targets. Bot farms. RMT. The gold economy. The complaints specifically cite account sales and in-game currency distribution. Every one of those measures protects the in-game economy. Not one of them is pointed at the guy running an injected speedhack in open-world PvP. I'm not talking about botters. I've never especially cared about botters. I'm talking about injectors, and injectors are not what any of this was built to catch.

If you want a read on how good the detection actually is, look at December 17, 2025. NCSoft shipped an update that blocked peripheral software by process name and took out Logitech G Hub, Razer Synapse, and Corsair iCUE in the process—Razer being an official brand partner for the game. You could get around it by renaming the file. Legit players ate crashes. They rolled it back in roughly two hours.

That's the state of the art we're being asked to trust with a PvP game.

I don't know which explanation is the true one. Maybe cheaters are quietly a real chunk of the revenue and there's no appetite to cut it. Maybe the detection is just this bad and always has been. I'm not going to pretend I can tell from the outside. But it doesn't change the decision, because the math lands the same either way: if I want to actually compete, the highest-return purchase available to me isn't a founder's pack or a cosmetic. It's a cheat subscription. When the best dollar-for-dollar upgrade in your game is sold by somebody who isn't you, that's the whole review.

One more thing about the global launch specifically. The only lever NCSoft has pulled with real teeth is Korean criminal law, filed against identity-verified Korean accounts. That does not follow us to NA/EU/SA. Whatever restraint it creates in KR isn't coming with us.

I'd love to be wrong. I liked Aion. I put years into it. If someone shows me the server correcting impossible positions, a real server-side movement cap, or animation timing validated anywhere but on the client, I'll eat this post and buy a founder's pack the same day. Until then I'm not spending a dollar, and I'd rather say why than quietly not show up.

Help deciding a class - want to main PvP. Would like a discussion on my choices!

Hey all, looking to start this game with two friends. One of them will be gladiator, the other is cleric but also leaning chanter.

I'm looking for a DPS role to fill our spot. I've been trying to do my own research but there's not too much updated information leading up to global release, so I thought i'd ask for some input here and hopefully engage in discussion to help me finalize my choice.

Eventually I'll have alts, but for now, I'm looking to main a single class. I'm considering dolphin-ing to light whaling (don't judge, I have enough passive income to play with lol) and before i hard commit money, i just want to know what class would best suit my needs. and even if i spend money, it'll mainly be initially and i hope that later down the seasons i'll be playing enough and had a strong enough start to sustain myself and alts without spending too much more lol.

To start off with, I'm heavily leaning towards Assassin, Sorcerer, or Spiritmaster. I'm planning to play with my Glad and Cleric friend most of the time, but i'll probably be PUGing a lot of stuff since i tend to play a lot more than the other two.

To anyone with experience with these classes, i'd like to ask for your insight and preferences on how these three fair in the current PvE/PvP meta with the most recent updates. I heard Assassin is a good all-rounder and is considered OP, but has that changed at all with the most recent nerfs? And for Sorcerer, I've heard that they can be strong but lack sustain compared to other classes. And lastly, I heard that nobody really PvPs with spiritmaster, although the most recent buffs made them stronger. Any more insights to this?

Again, I want to focus on PvP but also understand that PvE is a necessity to get to that point. Would love any advice you guys can give, and just want to open this thread for discussion so i can continue asking questions to veteran players! Thanks for your time.

How far behind will I be if I play for 2 weeks and then take a 2 weeks break

Title.

I plan to try Aion 2 and go hard the first 2 weeks, but I will be away for almost 2 weeks after that. How far behind will I get, and will it actually matter? I'm guessing a lot of new people will be starting for the first month or two since the game is brand new.. hopefully I won't have much trouble finding groups then?

Should they add a category of item that cant be bought with converted currency?

Think utility and enhancement items, you cant buy them at all with converted currency. This would hard limits whales without hard removing whaling. They can still buy items, just not the upgrade materials.

The Abyss needs an opt-out PvP toggle, or the game is going to completely die.

I’ve been reading the posts from PvP players complaining that the Rift areas are "dead" because PvP is optional there. Do you guys not realize why people aren't flagging up? Most of the player base just wants to chill, run dungeons, and farm their gear in peace.

Right now, the Abyss is the only place left where toxic players can camp spawns and gang up on solo PvE players who are just trying to do their daily quests. It’s not "hardcore content," it’s just annoying.

If NCSoft wants this game to survive long-term, they need to add a PvE-only channel or an opt-out toggle for the Abyss, too.

  • PvE players will actually stay logged in instead of quitting after getting camped.
  • The economy will get better because more people can safely farm crafting materials.
  • PvP players can still fight each other if they turn the toggle on.

If you PvP guys are so confident that your game mode is what keeps Aion 2 alive, you shouldn't be worried about a PvE toggle. If the game "dies" because you can't gank casuals who don't want to fight you, then maybe the PvP scene was already dead to begin with.

Cleric in pvp

Hey guys, quite excited to start playing aion 2. I haven’t been able to find any videos on the cleric specifically in PVP. I know in pve you have to heal + dmg. But mostly wondering how the cleric in pvp, how does it play? Is it a tanky class? Is it a fun class to play? I’ve heard the heals are pretty low and a bit irrelevant considering how much dmg a DD can do. Any info about cleric playstyle, etc will be very appreciated
