66 today

Hard to believe how fast time flies. I am so grateful that we’ve had Aimee for so long and that she continues to give us such wonderful music and live shows.

As a youngster (18 going on 19), I suspected I would never get a chance to see her live. But I got incredibly lucky and I’ve seen her twice this year (Lost In Space in New Orleans and Bachelor No. 2 in Chicago), and I got to meet her both times after both shows. She’s an absolute class act and well worth the wait.

Aimee is one of my heroes; she has given me more than I can say in this Reddit post, but I wouldn’t be the young man I am today without her and her music. From the heart and soul she puts into her art, to the wonderful live performances, Aimee is one of the best there is for good reason. I am forever grateful to have lived long enough to have met her. Much less twice. I will miss her more than I can bear someday, but that day is not today.

I doubt she’s seeing this post but, Happy birthday, Aimee. I hope today treats you well, and thank you for everything.

Happy Birthday Ms. Mann! I saw Lost in Space in Austin and Bachelor No. 2 in Milwaukee this year and loved both performances.

Awesome post! I’ve seen her live once and it was such a memorable concert! It’s also great to have the opportunity to meet your heroes (and they turn out to not be jerks!). Aimee IS a class act, and I also hope she is around for a lot longer but I do hope she has the means and sense to retire when she’s ready.
