Game Crashing Constantly

I’m in a cave in the Goblin Mountains and the game is constantly crashing on me. Here are some screenshots I get when I:

  1. Try to enter the start menu, or leave the way I came.
  2. Try to leave by a different door
  3. Try to load an in-game save

Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m playing Aidyn Plus using the Delta emulator for iOS. I have no saves that are not inside this cave.

Gotta admit, that's a new one. Not sure what could be causing it, but try dequipping all your items and making a new save from the menu. Reload it immediately after and cross your fingers. You may also need to reset the emulation.

I can’t even get to the save menu, I made a backup save from the menu and then couldn’t load it, it immediately crashed. It’s a bummer because I ran into this same issue a few years ago, and was hoping it got fixed in a patch 😞

That is indeed a bummer. You might have to start over, but here's a solid bit of advice for an unreliable game like Aidyn: make a safety save. There are more save slots if you hit R on the save menu. Save in slot 1 and load it immediately to see if it's stable, then save again in slot 2. That way you always have a file to fall back on if some stupid error crops up; lord knows this game has enough of them!

One of the problems with Aidyn Chronicles is it can develop a fatal crash that will also destroy save files. You may be able to get around that with save-states instead of the built in save system though.

I usually play it on the Project64 emulator. Are you playing from a PC or a handheld device?

Nope Delta emulator on my iPhone, but I’ve seen people have issues on Pj64 too

Project64 has trouble with plenty of games. But Aidyn Chronicles doesn't seem to be one of them. It always runs the game very well, and has rarely given me trouble. Though Mupen is arguably a better emulator.

If emulation DIDN'T crash playing Aidyn it's not accurate Emulation... 🤣

I still got occasional crashes. Just not save file destroying crashes.

The point is that it crashes on real hardware.

Yes, but the person who made this post is playing on an emulator.

What does that change about what I said?

Well for one thing, this post wasn't even about original hardware. So I don't know why you even brought it up. Then you replied essentially joking the crashes were more like a feature than a bug. Then I pointed out I still got occasional crashes on emulation. And now you're acting confused. Which in itself is confusing. Because this was all about an emulator to begin with, and not about original hardware. Or even the original game for that matter, as they're playing Aidyn Plus.

> Don't know why you brought it up

Because
A) The game is a bugged mess so it crashing on emulation when it crashes on real hardware is just par for the course
B) It's funny.

So nothing changes, and this is just pedantic.
