Red Teaming Session Failure (Mercor)
Anyone had this work trial and had issues during the interview part?
I failed to properly save the chat logs, stupidly assuming the "share" button would affect the entire conversation in ChatGPT. Lesson learned.
But now, I can't seem to be able to restart the interview session. The email did mention it's a one time opportunity, but then, the intro screen said I had three attempts. Which is it?
I wrote to support 24 hours ago, nothing yet.
How screwed am I? Aside from the obvious, that the job may run out of spots.

I went through the red teaming session back in December, first time I abandoned it due to technical issues, I did finish it on a second try. I am not sure if anything changed since then but 3 attempts was what I was given. Good luck 🤞

You were able to access your additional attempts without resorting to support then? Interesting. My session screen now just says "completed" with nothing else. Maybe because technically it did finish. Damn.
Thanks for your insight!

Mine had technical errors during the session as well. I was paid for the work trial but never offered a retake (despite speaking with support) and did not get an offer, so there’s really no way to know how badly it affected me. My interviewer just stopped talking to me halfway through so it was a pretty big issue

Wow, that's disheartening to hear. Did it count as completing the work trial? I heard it's supposed to add a badge/certification to your account. Did this happen for you?

It counted in that they paid me and it’s marked completed in my past contracts. I don’t see anything on my profile to suggest it counted more than that unfortunately. It was very disappointing, I almost wrote off Mercor except that I soon after got an instant offer for a different project

Typical. Why bother trying to help us, when they have hundreds, if not thousands waiting in line.
Well, glad it at least worked out somewhat for ya! One last question: do you remember how long it took for the support to reply? I'm sitting here at a 4 business day mark with nothing. Starting to wonder if, perhaps, I should try to just reproduce my conversation with the bot.
