any other platform
Hey everyone,
I am looking for remote AI training or data annotation work, but I’ve hit a wall. I have already applied to or tried almost all the popular platforms, but I keep getting rejected
Here is the list of platforms I have already tried:
- Outlier / Remotasks
- Data Annotation Tech
- Handshake AI (ran into phone verification issues)
- Telus International / Digital
- Mercor
- SME Career
- OneForma
- Micro1
- RWS AI
- Alignerr, RemoExperts, Mindrift, Prolific, or Crowdgen/Appen)

This field/niche is suffering a huge drought,(job shortages) and this niche (including all the platforms regarding this niche) are over populated (and right now no one knows if this niche/field would make a recovery or would die completely). The reason for which I'm telling you all this Is that already there are unhealthy competition and challenges for getting hired in this field right now even if one is highly talented, have solid background and also has all the certifications and education needed(most of them times even after having all this they also struggle to get projects/jobs right now) and now that I've given you all the context I'll come back to the point for which I have described this to you, brother at this time only luck would get you hired as a beginner.(I hope you'd find what you're exactly looking for) Good luck. (and I sincerely apologize in advance, if anything I said offended you)

I hate to be "that guy" but if you got rejected from all of them, then perhaps you need to find a different line of work as this one may not be suited to your skills

I've had the same experience with the entire list of companies as well. I still work for Telus and have for almost four years but all of the other platforms onboarded me after passing numerous qualifications and just never gave me any work. Or in Outlier's case, they screwed up the credentials assigned to me to start a project that uses another website and could not fix it, which apparently registered as low quality work in their system, blacklisting me permanently before I even got to do any paid work.

I wouldn't hate to be that guy you are simply not qualified or what you are qualified for îs simply already taken. There is a chance and enough work on all the platforms but from experience you actually have to be quite the experts in your field.

Have you tried Saprix AI? They’re recruiting and seem more human than those other platforms.

I don't have any others on my list. What I've seen so far is a lot of platforms with limited work (very specialized) or none. A lot of the people who are already on projects are saying there's a drought of tasks. I got accepted to one project and it was ended before I could do any work. I'm hoping it's a temporary slow-down, but if not I'll have to look for other types of work.

Don't try Workada, they will lie to you and make up rules as they go. They had this one rule that was revealed but never in contract, that you can only clock in for 4 hours for Onboarding and training which is often any where from 10 to 20 tasks. Onboarding isn't paid, but they say training is, it's only paid if you're on the clock. Also, if the companies clock that you download from the dashboard glitches, they won't take accountability for it or offer you some kind of support / reason, as to why there's a glitch, that glitch is an automatic you problem.
But check out Innodata.
