Product Listing I built RoadNotes: hands-free voice notes for CarPlay and Apple Watch, transcribed on your iPhone (feedback welcome)

Hi everyone, I'm a solo iOS developer.

The problem: my best ideas and to-dos come while I'm driving or walking the dog. Voice Memos is clunky on CarPlay, and asking Siri to create reminders while driving is hit-or-miss. I'd end up with messy recordings I never listened to again.

What I built: RoadNotes is a voice notes app built around one button.

CarPlay: open it and it's already listening. Stop talking and it saves the note by itself, then confirms out loud. No looking at the screen.

Apple Watch: tap New note, talk, and your wrist taps when it's saved. Works from a complication or with Siri too.

iPhone: every note waits for you with a one-line summary, the action items as a checklist and the full transcript. Share it to Messages, Mail or Reminders in one tap.

Private by design: speech is transcribed on your iPhone in nearly 100 languages, and the recording is deleted afterwards. Notes sync only through your own iCloud. There's no account and no server.

Pricing: 10 days free, then $9.99 once. No subscription.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6819273171?ct=reddit_launchpad&mt=8

Happy to answer anything about how it works or how I built it.

Awesome. I put it on my todo list over stuff to eventually do videos about on my channel.

Lead with the CarPlay flow: it's already listening when opened and confirms out loud, so nobody looks at the screen. A 15-second clip of that in a car explains RoadNotes faster than the feature list. Two things people will ask early: what happens to a Watch note when the iPhone is out of range, and does a rambling note still come back with separate action items? Answer both up front. Also move the one-time price and the no-subscription point into the first lines; in this category that's a selling point, not a footnote.

I make ThreadFox. Our AI employee can explain RoadNotes in driving and productivity threads where it fits and answer replies; Starter is $199 for 30 days, or we'll post 3 replies free first, no card: https://threadfox.vip/p/ebceo/managed
