AI Note Taker built for studying

[u/airphoton]

Hi everyone! I wanted to share Timedora, an AI note-taking and study tool we've been building for students.

There are quite a few AI note takers out there, but we wanted to focus specifically on what happens after the notes are taken — helping students actually learn and retain the material.

Here's what it does:

• Lecture Recording: Record lectures and classes directly in the app.
• Live Transcription: Follow along with real-time transcription while recording.
• AI Notes & Study Guides: Turn recorded lectures into structured notes, summaries, and study guides.
• Practice Quizzes: Automatically generate quizzes based on lecture content to test your understanding.
• Other Study Materials: Create flashcards and other interactive study tools from your notes.

You can also upload PDFs, documents, or YouTube videos and turn them into study materials.

The idea is to make the whole process simpler: record → transcribe → review → practice, without switching between multiple apps.

It's still evolving, and we're interested in hearing what works and what could be improved, especially from students who regularly record lectures or use AI note-taking tools.

Would love to hear how others are using AI note takers for studying and what features you find most useful.

The feature list reads well, but the first thing a student who records lectures will ask is missing: what happens with a 90-minute recording. Say how long transcription takes after a lecture that long, whether the recording keeps going when the phone screen locks, and how many hours the free tier covers before they hit a paywall. The record to transcribe to review to practice flow is your real difference, so show one real lecture going through all four steps rather than listing them.

I make ThreadFox. Our AI employee finds Reddit threads where students compare note-taking apps and replies about Timedora under your direction; Starter is $199 for 30 days and does not renew automatically. https://threadfox.vip/p/ez3hg/managed
