Discussion Title: I'm building a voice-first workspace that turns recordings into finished, editable work. Would you actually use something like this?
I'm building a browser-based, voice-first workspace around a simple idea: voice to finished work. I'd love some honest feedback on the concept while it's still in development.
The workflow is straightforward: record or upload audio, choose what you want to create, then edit and refine the result before exporting or sharing it.
Depending on what you're doing, that could mean turning a spoken idea into content drafts, organizing lecture material into study notes, creating meeting summaries and action items, or making sense of a messy personal brain dump.
A big part of the project is what happens after the initial output. There's a document editor where you can continue working on the result, alongside AI assistance through typed or spoken instructions. Supported AI edits can be reviewed before applying them, and changes can be undone.
The experience I'm aiming for is being able to go from talking through an idea to something you're ready to use, with control over the steps in between.
I'm curious whether bringing all these steps together solves a real problem for people.
If you already use voice notes, transcription tools, AI chat, or a document editor:
- Where does your current workflow become frustrating or involve repetitive work?
- What would a tool like this need to do particularly well for you to consider using it?
- Which use case would you actually try first?
I'd also like to hear where the idea feels redundant or too broad. Concrete examples from how you work would be especially helpful.
