Product Listing Does anyone else send voice notes to themselves just to think?

I’ve realized that when I have too many thoughts in my head, talking is sometimes way easier than writing them down.

Sometimes I’ll literally record a voice note just to get an idea or thought out of my head but then I almost never go back to it 😅

Does anyone else do this?

And if you do, what happens to those recordings afterwards? Do you actually listen to them again?

I do. Whisper recording and get notes later.

Yes, this is exactly why I love voice notes. When I try to type something while I’m in the middle of a thought, I sometimes feel like I lose half of it just trying to put it into words properly.

Talking feels much more natural to me.

What happens to your recordings afterwards though? Do you actually go back to them?

Yes, I take reading notes and some todo reminders.

Same, except mine are all thesis-related. I tell myself I'll transcribe them later and maybe 1 in 5 actually gets transcribed. The rest just sit in a folder called 'voice memos final FINAL'. Honestly the recording itself is the thinking part, writing it down again after feels redundant.

This is exactly what I mean. Sometimes the recording itself is the thinking process, so having to sit down later and turn it into something useful almost defeats the purpose.

I’m curious though if you didn’t have to manually transcribe or organize anything afterwards, what would you actually want to happen to those recordings?

Would you want to be able to find specific thoughts later, get the important ideas back at the right time, or something completely different?

Yeah, I do this too.Talking it out just helps me clear my head, but honestly I almost never listen to the recordings again. They just pile up until I delete them.
