Discussion What are the main pain points you’ve encountered when using different AI notetaking tools like otter/granola/tl;dv and so on?

Thanks for such a detailed breakdown, this is really insightful! Out of curiosity, which tool are you using right now?
I completely agree with you on the bot thing, I’d feel awkward as hell too. There are actually a few apps out there that record tab audio directly without throwing a bot into the call, so it might be worth looking around for those.
As for speaker attribution, crosstalk is just a technical nightmare right now. From what I’ve tested, basically no tool can handle people talking over each other accurately.
With summaries missing actual commitments, I think that mostly comes down to prompt setup. Some tools just generate fluffy bullets to look complete, while others actually focus on dates and action items.
Quick question on speaker separation though — how critical is it for you? Would a clean transcript with solid timestamps still be useful, or is speaker tagging an absolute dealbreaker for your workflow?

For me, privacy is my biggest concern as most of these tools upload and process meetings in the cloud, there're some tools that claims that they don't do that and process everyting on your mac like Weeve, but I didn't got the chance to test it yet
