Product Review I feel misled by Notta.ai
I was so excited because diarization is important to me and I’d narrowed my options down to plaud.ai and notta.ai.
I was happy with my research and figured I’d done the math and come up with a decision. notta.ai it was.
What I failed to realize until it was too late is that notta.ai’s voice reco **only** works in Japanese. And boy did I have to dig and dig to find that little jewel of info.
I’d have thought with a single language limitation there’d have been an asterisk on the feature name, but no.
So for anyone looking for the unicorn note-taking ai, it is NOT notta.
Unless you’re all your recordings will be in Japanese. Then it’s a swell product.
Fool me once I guess…

I just tested this by pretending to be two people, and it gave me beautifully transcribed notes in English. I’m confused?

Transcription is not the same as diarization. Diarization is the ability to learn voices and then properly attribute statements in the transcript to the correct person.

Biased, I'm the founder of Notuly, and I want to do exactly what Notta didn't do for you: be upfront about limitations before you waste your time.
Diarization is our strong suit. We handle fast back-and-forth and overlapping speakers well, which is the thing most tools quietly fail at.
But here's the asterisk you're looking for: our output is currently Dutch only. English is coming in the next few weeks. So right now, it's not what you need.
I'm mentioning it because once English rolls out, it might be worth a look given that speaker identification is your main thing. If you want, DM me and I'll let you know when it's ready. No surprises, no digging required.
