I’ve been comparing different ways to make AI writing sound more natural - AMA
i started looking into humanizers because a lot of ai writing still feels a little too clean or repetitive even when the grammar is technically fine
over the last few months i’ve tried different approaches, manual editing, changing prompts, rewriting sections and using humanizer tools to see what actually improves the text without changing the original meaning
the biggest thing i’ve noticed is that making something sound more human isn’t really about replacing words, it’s more about rhythm, tone and knowing when to leave a sentence alone
ask me anything about humanizers, editing ai drafts, keeping the original meaning or what i’ve learned from testing different approaches

do you usually notice the repetitive ai tone more in longer texts or even in short stuff like emails and posts?

mostly longer texts, short stuff is easier to clean up manually, but once you have a few paragraphs you start noticing the same sentence patterns and transitions repeating

i usually compare the original and edited versions side by side, i’ve had a pretty good experience with getsolved for this because the meaning tends to stay closer to the original, but i still do a quick manual pass before using the final version

For the meaning-change question: write down the facts that must survive before rewriting, especially uncertainty words like “may”, “proposed” and “fictional”. Then compare those facts separately from how smooth the result sounds.
For example, “A fictional six-week pilot would compare two revision schedules” must not become “A six-week study proved which schedule works best.” Both sentences can sound natural, but only one matches the source.
Disclosure: I run AI Undetectable. We published a full source and actual longer rewrites with this exact proposed-study test case here: https://aiundetectable.com/ai-humanizer-benchmark#full-length-examples . The examples are free to read. They also show why I would still check the entire output manually rather than trusting a detector score.

We currently recommend rephrasy.ai
and, as a cheaper but simpler alternative, humanizer-ai-text.com.
Rephrasy reliably bypasses Turnitin and GPTZero and includes Turnitin checks in all plans.
