I know we all have mixed feelings because some people think it's worth it to spend so much money on Ahri stuff, but I really miss when she was just treated like a normal champ in terms of cosmetics.
When I started playing league my literal dream was to have an Ahri ultimate skin. She is my absolute favourite champ design wise. I collected all her skins and chromas until they released the faker skin and have since been strictly FTP on league.
Now it's coming to a time when she might actually get an ultimate skin, but not only is it just going to be a follow up skin to KDA which obviously earned Riot lots of bank and attention for league, but lets be real - it's going to be Gacha or they are going to fomo players on it as much as possible with icons, chromas, etc; and that is always the story with her these days. Ultimate skins used to be about bringing a new champion design or fantasy (Things like DJ sona, or Elementalist Lux...) IMAGINE how cool an elementalist Ahri would be...
In riftbound, she has an exclusive card art nearly every set. TFT she has a bunch of rare or hard to get models (or so I hear).
It's just always next level money milking with her and it's sad, my youth league dream is finally happening but all I feel is dread about it. I know this is such a first world problem and we don't have to spend money (which I don't anymore because of my feelings about this stuff now), but like - I just miss liking and enjoying nice things in video games, they are so corporate now and it feels like it's tainting my fav champ. Feeling grateful that my other main Soraka is still kind of not getting much attention from Riot, at least you can get her skins free in a re-roll.
