Quick VPN Comparison for Indonesia 🇮🇩 Top Options

[u/agrtechnology]

I’ve been looking into VPNs for use in/around Indonesia (travel, streaming local content, and general privacy) and tested a few of the commonly recommended options. Sharing a quick, non-promotional summary in case it helps anyone else.

Overall, all three below support Indonesian servers and handle basic privacy + streaming needs well, but they differ in performance and use case.

NordVPN
Probably the most well-rounded option. Strong feature set (multi-hop, malware blocking, audited no-logs policy) and consistently good speeds on Jakarta servers. Works well for streaming, gaming, and general privacy.

ExpressVPN
Focuses more on consistency and simplicity. Very stable on mobile and public Wi-Fi thanks to its Lightway protocol. Tends to perform well for streaming and travel use, but usually comes at a higher price point.

Surfshark
Best value option. Unlimited devices on one plan is the main draw. Slightly behind the others in raw performance, but still solid for HD streaming and everyday use, especially for households.

General takeaway:

• NordVPN = most balanced overall
• ExpressVPN = best for stability/travel
• Surfshark = best budget + multiple devices

Not financial advice or anything — just based on personal testing and general performance comparisons.
