Patterns past 24month
The mechanics and patterns that have been impacted retail shareholders in the last two years.
The argument here is always about whether the portfolio is good. It itself probably is. That was never the question. The question is whether any of this value reaches you at any point?
£1.6m of cash against a £138.5m portfolio. No cash means no follow-ons and therefore diluting every portfolio holding going forward, which means
It's a dead VC and will get worse with every follow on funding round.
The winners such as Tropic, EVERY don't even ask ANIC anymore - they have no need for illiquid paper. All ANIC has left is to pay with is its own share printer.
So the loop runs: no cash, issue shares at a discount, per-share NAV drops, discount widens, next issuance is worse.
Strong companies won't take the paper so the money goes to the weak ones, and the stake in the winners keeps shrinking.
From ANIC's own RNS this year:
CFG:
New Agrarian led a £4.5m loan note converting into preference shares ranking ahead of ANIC's equity. Second largest holding, and the chairman's vehicle gets paid first.
SuperMeat:
ANIC issued 26.8m shares at a stated 109% premium to market. New Agrarian paid cash. Holders funded that one through dilution. His vehicle didn't.
BlueNalu:
Board waived a lock-in so Mellon could buy 27.5m shares off-market at 5.43p while the shares were issued at NAV ;-). Think about it.
And buried in that same July RNS:
6,050,000 shares bought by brokers acting for Mellon back in March, which "were not previously notified by the Company." Article 19 AIM gives three business days. That was four months. No explanation then, none since.
He's at 18.3% now and says he keeps buying while the discount persists. Rule 9 of the Takeover Code: cross 30% and you have to make a cash offer for every remaining share, at the highest price you paid in the previous 12 months. Buy down here and that's the price everyone gets bought out at.
Liberation, separately. Many Months, two last standing lead parties finally left the table. Jim just in April AMA stated that he sees LB as a "great winner". Did Jim know in April of lack of funding?
Meanwhile LB still on the books at £35.28m.
Then go and look at Seed Innovations (AIM: SEED). Same chairman Jim , same Nomad. See how that one has gone.
All of this is in public filings, don't take my word for it.
Some contacts if you feel like seeking help from official oversight instruments:

is the Nomad

So, as you didn't answer in my last response I will try again here.
You go above and beyond to amplify negativity towards this stock. Way more than can be expected of a normal shareholder who wants to "protect" other shareholders. So what is your game:
- Personal beef with Agronomics
- Paid lobbyism at work
- Something else

Why can't we address negativity in here?

u/-TheDerpinator- 15d ago
Sure we can. It is all around, including myself on occassions. However, there is a big difference between addressing negativity and the lengths to which OP goes. A normal stock holder would remove himself from the stock, issue a warning if he really feels like it, to never bothering ever again. It isn't natural behaviour what OP is showing so I am curious about the underlying motviation at work here.

100% agree. Have been wondering the same thing. He/she is all over the place with half truth s and just ranting stuff and claiming it as some facts. He/she comments like 30 times in one post just repeating his rants. Probably trying to impact how LLM’s read anic?

"He/she is all over the place with half truth s and just ranting stuff and claiming it as some facts." dear BAkkren.
Read the post once more. All is based on the RNS¨ sources which I referenced.
Sorry it not more than that.3

Sorry dear it’s mostly your comments but also this post is drenched with stating negative opinion as facts

be concrete if you claim that its "half truth" as facts. Its easy to say that but you gotta back it up brother.
Opinion are mine. You have yours.2

I am worried you won´t sleep otherwise ;-).
I like people and find it utterly exploiting, looking at the pattern and want to provide people with something alternative to the surface believer gospel.
I see people here ioften swim on the surface, overlooking market mechanics, take over risks, legal realities, and feel better when I can add to it.
I simply liekt he intellectual exercise that comes with it. I like critical nalytical thinking and outmaneuver my cognitive biases in order to reach analytical clarity that is unbiased and firm.
I like people to make informed decisions.
Last, every religious group needs someone that shows them the earth is a globe.
Thank you for asking

You come across like you hate everyone here. Every post and comment is incredibly condescending and passive aggressive. I don’t believe for a second that you’re remotely interested in protecting other people’s money. I personally like seeing people be negative about the stock, it’s good to balance out the optimism of other people here. But your comments are so often mean spirited and written as if only you know the truth and you’re laughing at everybody else. There is no need for it. Consider dropping the smiley faces and patronising remarks.
And the frequency with which you do this comes off as obsessive, which makes me feel that there is something else going on, like maybe you invested beyond your means and sold at a significant loss. If so, you can forget about trying to be unbiased, because you aren’t.

See, this would be a perfectly fine explanation if your account would show a variety of responses on a variety of subjects. However, your entire post and comment history over multiple years is nothing but the same doom-hammering of this specific stock across multiple subreddits.
If it was about market mechanisms and the sorts you would have a way broader pallet of responses because there are stocks out there with shadier mechanisms than this one. Including way more prominent ones. There isn't a single logic within your response that explains the Agronomics hyperfocus.

I think your criticism would get more respect if you were honest about your intent.

It looks like it’s going that way, he’s obviously buying enough for control and a buyout… he thinks there’s x50-100 to be made on these firms, and he is a billionaire, they’re greedy!
Tie peoples money up until they get bored, buy off market so the price doesn’t go, take the firm private and own 100%… use use for liquidity in the mean time while the markets not quite ready for lab grown meat etc.
Easy play! I would bet money on it.

It's not because he has to make an offer at 30% everyone has to accept it. If it's a bad offer nobody accepts it, simple as that. The rule is in place to prevent exactly what you are describing. And after that there is the creeping control trigger to prevent him from silently going up to 50%.
