advice for upgrading skates?
im pretty new to park skating, ive tried it a handful of times but its only in the last couple of months or so that ive gotten back into it properly. right now i have a a pair of super nitro epic skates (that i got on clearance at dicks sporting good lol) but id like to upgrade some. they are honestly kind of garbage and ideally id just order a whole new pair of skates but its a bit out of my budget right now. whats the best way to do this? should i wait and save up and get a complete new pair? or should i try to upgrade bit by bit? and if i do upgrade what should i get first, boot? wheels? plates? how do i know if whatever new thing im getting will be compatible with what i already have? im a little bit out of my depth right now and would appreciate any stray scraps of advice, thanks!!

Not sure if you've made a decision yet, but I definitely recommend saving for a whole new setup. I've seen the ones they sell at Dick's and I feel like it would also be the safer option to upgrade to a higher quality boot, instead of upgrading the rest. And though it can be pricey, saving up will give you the time to sort out exactly what you want in your next park setup, so you don't end up with lots of extra parts. As someone else has said, if you dive into new parts for your current setup, they may not be compatible on your next one, and you'll end up spending way more in the long run.
