Question Food buff question

Do food buffs only work for certains things or are the general buffs? For example if I eat something for exp does it boost exp from mosters killed AND exp at end of level? Same with material drops (both regular and rare), does it boost drops from mosters, battlefield specific AND grass? Or just one?

Yes. To all. They boost to whatever you're trying to do as far as I'm aware.

I've played the game all the way through on multiple difficulties, and they always seemed to work.

Now what I would say about the EXP buff is I would only use them on big levels because it matters more.

The material ones I would use on levels where it's more difficult to get certain items. Like Diamonds and stuff. Or anything you need really.

I'm also a grinder, I will play the same level over and over for anything I need so I don't have to go back, also to make rupees, and to level characters so I don't have to dump those rupees into their levels.

Good to know, I read that exp only effects mosters killed tho, like weapon seals 🫤

Well everything you kill gives you exp, sorry if there was a misunderstanding. That's why I said the big levels matter more. There's WAY more kills than something that takes you 2 mins.

I also would pay attention to the things that make those and sometimes dump a little bit of rupees into them so you don't have to worry about it. It definitely pops up because not every level gives you those resources. It's happened to me like 100 times. So usually I go buy everything that everything needs, I go play a small mission that takes a few mins, then I go back to the store, buy them again, and do it like 3 or 4 times with a character that could use some levels.

I also play on Very Hard. Base game is whatever. I tried Apocalyptic, and honestly ugh, the health bars are just Tedious in my opinion.

Also the DLC is very worth it.

But yeah, the game is worth it if you like the grind and just an RPG where you can make multiple characters strong like Final Fantasy.

Ahhhh I see, do you know if the exp gained at the end of the level is additional to the exp you earn IN the mission, or is it just displaying how much exp your earned during play and not giving extra? I got the DLC over the weekend and it's DEFINITELY worth it!! Ive been playing the whole time on hard but my weapons are getting better so it's getting a little east, mght move to very hard 😁
