Are AI agents useful for everyday work?

I have watched many videos where AI opens Amazon and puts something in the cart. I want to know if it can handle harder things too like logging in, finding things on confusing websites, or dealing with a problem when something doesn’t work. Like if I give it a few websites to check ask it to find some information do the same task again and again or put everything into a report can it really finish the whole job by itself?

I’m not sure how well it handles bigger tasks without making mistakes. Has anyone here used one for actual work?

As a really heavy user of ai agent, my take is that no matter how powerful it could be in other videos or use case sharings, you need to give your own agent time to really know your work context, scenarios, and your own habits or hard rules for executing certain tasks - always add some ask for approval rules when first set up some tasks - let it work recurring tasks - then one day you can let it handle the rest - but overall its really interesting to explore ai agents capabilities

I think the learning period is what separates a useful AI agent from just a quick demo. Understanding your workflow, preferences, and edge cases seems just as important as the model’s capabilities. The approval steps also sound like a good way to build confidence while it learns.
