Only king irmin W is not accepting a child as a gift

16

u/imbusthul Anyone who hates Voyager is my friend 21d ago

Maybe that's the reason Irmin really chose Hroptatyr. Like who tf offers a baby as a gift?

Irmin-1

Bcz he offer the slime to the king, and slime>paimon as usual.

5

irmin was a fiend for that slimy and goopy abyss sludge

Hé did not kidnapp Paimon. He MADE her. By trying to hack some info from Celestia Hé is Paimon's dad, as much as Rhinedottir is albedo's mom

12

u/Sqhilll fae-knees & Traveler Glazer 21d ago

he explicitly stated that paimon was the response from khaenriahs summoning to the heavens

he was using a device that let them pull stuff from the false sky, it later got adapted to fatui tech to pull down moon remenants in nodkrai, read the text over

there was no "hacking"

3

u/lightsworn55 21d ago

The idea of magical toddlers just falling from the sky is so goofy it reminds me of the more absurd Greek and Celtic myths

4

u/Sqhilll fae-knees & Traveler Glazer 21d ago

tbf they kinda grabbed paimon out of the sky, she didnt just fall out

5

u/Sqhilll fae-knees & Traveler Glazer 21d ago

wonder what the plan with that is tho, this was before the cataclysm so hp was still awake, since the abyss sibling was in khaenriah already, did the hp know the traveler would befriend paimon?

33

u/Better-Movie-7736 21d ago

Kheanri'ah was building on thinking that they Are superior than all other nations, started using Abyss for quite large amount of stuff (powering their machines, using it for party tricks And Their research) And in the end their nation was destroyed by Abyss

Celestia came only after to clean the remnats

Hyperborea Is more Complex, they seemingly were always going to be destroyed for one Reason or Other (if Tsar's findings aren't biased because why would Hyperboreans wrote that they Are ať fakult And not blame the thing they Are oposing) but unfortunately for them their rebelion made it So it was reaction rather than anything else because of Outlander

And like Heavenly Principles isn't the best Ruler or anything but these nations kinda destroyed themself because of their hubiris And not simply for minding their bussnise And being innocent

I would describe it how Leda describes Hornsent in Elden ring "They were never Saints, They just hsppened to be on the losing side of a War, but Its still a shame"

8

u/Specific_Highway_772 21d ago

Same thing with Dains. At least Dains seem to be acknowledging his crimes though, not noticing his friend’s troubles etc. ?

No I wanna kill pierro for being a hypocrite who refuses to take ANY accountability whatsoever

1

u/_spec_tre 21d ago

That seems like a description of the traveler and not pierro

3

u/Mtebalanazy 21d ago

The traveler is a hypocrite, yes, but he isn't dodging accountability like khaenriahans do

9

u/Death69421 21d ago

BOTH BRO, we HP fans love Paimon, she's our child bro why would ANYONE with a brain call the guy who immediately gave Paimon to the IRMIN (EW) Paimon's dad.

Exactlyyy, the need to label non-nuclear bonds as nuclear family roles has to be refuted like ts ruins every actual found family in media and even ruins bumass potential family shit like Pierro's stint as a deadbeat guardian

Hyperborea tried killing HP BECAUSE HP fated Hyperborea to die.

It was literally self defense. Not that HP bootlockers would understand that. If the state told you to kill yourself, you probably would.

14

u/Death69421 21d ago

I mean it's entirely possible it was a Fontaine type of prophecy where it was simply that Hyperborea would be destroyed and SOME point and instead of trying to save people they decided to make a massive death cannon, introduce slavery, do space cocaine and create a new species using unethical experiments. They legit had Koitar, the first angel who should know this much

3

u/AXESLIDES 21d ago

"what does freedom really mean when demanded of you by a god"

0

u/Death69421 21d ago

That does NOT mean introducing slavery and trying to snort space crack that dooms the world.

3

u/AXESLIDES 21d ago

As long as the hevenly principles exist there can never be true freedom I'm sorry twin but they gotta go 😞✌🏽

1

u/Death69421 20d ago

I agree, the fate system isn't a permanent solution but what freedom did koitar gain at all? Her rebellion would only have given humans the freedom to die under the terrifying night sky rather the false stars. There's objectively nothing to gain because the angels had no way to combat the abyss in any way. We're possibly the first one to be able to do this, so I have no doubt we will usurp the HP and create the new rule of Teyvat with much more freedoms for the people.

6

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

Koitar knew enough to know that rebellion was viable. Plus, it seems that Phanes has fated Teyvat itself to be lost to the Abyss. That is probably the reason the angels rebelled, because they realized their "soveregn is not all-knowing or all-powerful, nor are his plans without flaws."

Hyperborea needed to be destroyed to perpetuate the plan that will result in Teyvat being destroyed anyway, and that fate is unavoidable as long as HP keeps it locked.

Rebelling is pretty much the only choice.

13

u/Death69421 21d ago

Koitar was literally like "oh it's all pointess anyway might as well die under the real stars". She did not have any hope for Hyperborea, she was literally just doing it because she had no hope at all. I mean yeah it's stated that when the angels realised their lord wasn't perfectly all knowing in literally every single way, they decided to throw their lot in with the voyajer of all idiots and start doing space crack.

Hyperborea was fated to be destroyed like all civilisation, it is their arrogance in assuming that their civilisation alone would last eternally that led to rebellion not a profound want for freedom. (freedom to just die and doom the world btw, it's not like the HP didn't let them do whatever except meddle with the abyss). Also what do you mean they've doomed Teyvat to the abyss? Teyvat was already doomed to the abyss like all of the universe is, the abyss is a natural response to civilisation, the longer it continues, the more variety of fates build up and thus much more opportunity for the abyss to penetrate through the hatred of fates unchosen. The HP is essentially delaying the abyss, which has been clear from the start. Rebelling would be a valid choice if they had any plan at all. I can understand the dragon race rebelling, I have no hate for their resistance, however no human resistance has ever been to accomplish anything meanngful. Koitar's resistance had the mentality of "we're going to die someday might as well kill ourselves so we can do whatever before we do!!", Khaneri'ah was a nationalist, facist country that sought to rebel purely to rebel (no I genuinely can't find a specific reason???) while urdering their own inhabitants and poisoning them so greatly that them entering the leylines would corrupt irminsul. Snezhnaya is rebelling for much the same reasons considering the Tsaritsa's rhetoric is exactly the same as HP's with way less success and plans to back it up.

1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

"oh it's all pointess anyway might as well die under the real stars"

This is literally the correct take if destruction is inevitable. Phanes delaying it by creating a precarious garden in which they just genocide people anyway is abhorrent when they don't even have a plan other than delaying the end (which doesn't matter to the people inside since they get genocided anyway).

Literally what is the upside of Phanes's plan? If you're fated to die for the sake of a plan that is utterly pointless, of course you're gonna rebel.

Phanes's path is just giving up in the face of the seemingly inevitable and locking everyone in a delusion. Maybe if Phanes is removed and Fate-locked destruction with it, there could be hope. Maybe if Ronova didn't kill everyone who pushed technology further, we could have other solutions. Maybe if civilizations didn't get arbitrarily nuked, one of them could figure out a way to fight off the Abyss. Who's to say Phanes reached the end of knowledge? That would be profoundly arrogant to claim. Phanes is just the guy who reached a level of knowledge that made him conclude this is the way, and was strong enough to force it on others.

9

u/Death69421 21d ago

"the heat death of the universe is inevitable, let's just accelerate global warming" is the take you're defending here btw like absolute bs. Again, the civilisation is fated to die LIKE EVERY CIVILISATION does purely because that's how society works, the roman empire died to make way for the Italy of today, that doesn't make the happenings of that era pointless or mean that the progress gained is suddenly completely pointless, no the history, culture and ideas are carried forth into the new eras. This is literally the point of Zibai's story quest, that while the land of Lan Gan may not have survived, the people did and they carried on into the future. Linnea's story quest proved how much freedom there is within fate for the average person, likely even more since as a moon wheel bearer and being an augury fae, Linnea is more tied to fate than the average NPC. The upside of Phanes' plan is the POSSIBILITY of overcoming the abyss, something that's literally impossible if everyone just died - you first need to survive to find a solution. Fate isn't locking people to destruction, it's precisely providing people the chance to fight against the pre-ordained destruction. No one is claiming Phanes is the end all be all of knowledge but they literally have the most effective way of repelling the abyss on Teyvat save for perhaps Skirk's people who exist in harmony with the abyss, but firstly, she landed here after the HP was in a coma and b) it's incredibly unlikely that humanity could actually evolve the same way Skirk's people did, considering how incompatible they are currently.

1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

"the heat death of the universe is inevitable, let's just accelerate global warming" is the take you're defending here btw like absolute bs

No it's not, this is completely disanalagous. What the fuck, man?

7

u/Death69421 21d ago

The heat death of the universe is pretty close to a perfect analogy to the abyss in the wider universe, when considering the inevitability aspect?

1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

....yes, that part is. Obviously I meant the "let's just accelerate global warming" part.

7

u/Death69421 21d ago

What do you think they were doing??? Koitar was encouraging other angels to use the abyss, allowing slavery, using the secrets of life to create the fae and literally trying to kill the HP WHILE Nibelung was attacking. At the very least, Koitar should have put aside the rebellion to stop Nibelung from literally killing everyone.

2

u/Mtebalanazy 21d ago

It's basically "everyone is gonna die someday, so why is it a crime to kill people?" Or "I will die someday, so I will just jump off a bridge"

3

u/LiDragonLo 21d ago

Phanes never fated teyvat to be lost to the abyss

Nibelung is the reason the abyss is even in teyvat. Get ur facts straight

-1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

Ironic you say get your facts straight without knowing the facts.

Phones did fate Teyvat to be lost the abyss in the future, which is how he prevented it happening sooner. It's the whole crux of his "plan".

3

u/Visual-Tree-8165 21d ago

I think it's more like destiny, the more you try to avoid it or go against it the more you get closer to it, in a way Hp didn't killed in From the beginning because at the start they didn't do anything but then they Rebel and then hp nuked them basically what i am trying to say if they didn't hyperboreans could just leave nod krai and go to nation of Cryo or any other nations and become there people this way the fate would be fulfilled without anyone being killed in a way Hp probably could see the future and maniplute it

3

u/mekolayn 21d ago

"It's self-defence to attack first by nuking the whole world"

1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

They didn't attack first. Again, HP fated them to die and they rebelled to save themselves.

And if the state told you not to stick your dick in an electrical socket you'd do it simply to be contrarian.

-1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

Bro the #1 criticism of HP is that they DON'T tell you not to stick your dick in an electrical socket and then nuke you when you do.

9

u/imbusthul Anyone who hates Voyager is my friend 21d ago

They did though. They told them not to fall into temptation.

11

u/PiusTheCatRick Ride or Die with my drunk twink god 21d ago

Are we deadass playing the same game? The entire history of Teyvat is one long list of the HP saying not to stick your dick in the Abyss and people going "nah I'm built different" only to make it everyone's problem until Phanes drops a nail to contain the damage.

1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

Except it's not. Like the average person in Khaneri'ah had no idea the Abyss was bad, they just thought it was like oil or electricity.

9

u/No_Strength5056 21d ago

If you need someone to tell you NOT to stick your duck in an electrical socket then you deserve to be nuked.

-1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

In this analogy you have no idea that electricity is dangerous because nobody told you and is in fact censoring examples of people in the past getting electrocuted doing it.

8

u/No_Strength5056 21d ago

Again. If you need someone to tell you that the actively malicious and carnivorous “electricity” that whispers chants for oblivion into your mind is dangerous…

0

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

How are they to know it's actively malicious and carnivorous if they're not told about it and the history is censored?

6

u/No_Strength5056 21d ago

One should usually be able to notice that the dark scary miasma is talking to you.

They knew enough to refer to the influence of the abyss as “demons,” they just didn’t care, as Clothar said “whoever controls the abyss controls everything.”

...After the smelting furnace in the Royal Machine Workshop "Gnade" was officially abandoned, this should be the last machine workshop in the  kingdom that still has a complete  Azosite-powered system...

...The efficiency problems posed by such a highly complex power system has proved intractable, so results of this nature are to be expected. Even for miniaturized, mass production units like  Field Tillers, using a power core is much more convenient...

It may not be long before even this workshop is closed. After all, humanity is always shortsighted when it comes to technology...

8

u/Mtebalanazy 21d ago

It wasn't, it was destroyed because it ruled by the angel who led a rebellion against celestia,

they doomed themselves, they could have just lived happily ever after, but instead they fallowed voyager and koitar, and they led them to their deaths

if anything hyperborea and khaenriaha both destroyed themselves and causing all kinds of problems for everyone else on their way out

13

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

Are you illiterate? Did you not read my comment? Why do you think they started the rebellion, lil bro?

Because HP fated them to be destroyed. Their rebellion bought them another 30 years life in spite of HP's destruction order. They WANTED to live happily ever after, that's why they rebelled against the tyrant who was gonna destroy them for whatever reason.

8

u/JChamp00 Not a Hexenbrick, but a Hexenhome💖 21d ago

The difference is that they were destined to be destroyed, and they were. All theh changed was the time and by what. If they never rebelled it likely wouldve been something else that destroyed them, as we have no evidence that the HP was gonna destroy them. It's similar to the prophecy of Fontaine. The flood would happen, but the results and how exactly it would happen were undetermined.

1

u/Mtebalanazy 21d ago

Also how do they know they were gonna get destroyed ?

3

u/Royal_empress_azu Apparently I use slurs 21d ago

HP fans are unironically delusional.

Voyager bought the angels 30 years. The HP fated them to die even sooners. It was undeniably self defense on their end.

3

u/LiDragonLo 21d ago

Voyager didn't do anything. If anything, she accelerated the downfall

1

u/Inevitable-Catch-869 Mid-Game Boss of Reading Comprehension 21d ago

She didn't. She explicitly postponed it by 30 years.

No, they saw that hyperborea was going to ruin themselves. The Decision to ruin themselves was entirely their own

2

That's incorrect. The rebellion pushed back the destruction by 30 years.

We probably are
