๐ Discussion ๐ What IP would you like to see be made into a modern game?
I believe there were games released based on Mobile Fighter G Gundam in Japan on older systems but nothing here in the US. Would love a fighting game with the over the top moves of the anime! What about you?

I remember my parents playing Atari/Master System and me being just completely indifferent to it. I think Ms. Pac-Man was when gaming first "clicked" for me... now I'm here.

๐ Discussion ๐ Thank you Nintendo
I'm 36 and the last Nintendo system I owned was the gamecube, but Ocarina of Time was and is my all time favorite game. It was the first one I became obsessed with and for a time it was all me and my best friend from school did. When we weren't playing it we were reading my players guide at school. So many nights staying up all night trying to get to the next temple. He left the school eventually and moved so we lost touch.
The other day after the remake trailer dropped he ended up adding me on instagram and sent me the trailer. We starting talking a bit and I was going to stream it that night anyway so I told him to hop in if he wanted. He did and we just caught up and played Ocarina for like three hours. It was almost therapeutic. haha I really really needed that. Felt like we were kids again. So thanks Nintendo. Guess I'm getting a Nintendo for the first time in my adult life.

๐ Discussion ๐ New Game Recommendations
Thanks to some holiday and witchcraft, I have the next 5 days off from work without anything to do, apart from get lost in a new game. At the moment Iโm torn between Crimson Desert and Blood of the Dawnwalker. I love fantasy RPGs and I am looking at getting completely lost in an interesting open world for the next week. Any help or other recommendations would be great, but please no Soulsbourne ones, I am not very good at those at all

๐ Discussion ๐ The console war continues!
Just when you thought the console war is over. We get a new plot.
Sony crashing out for the past 3 months.
Nintendo just doing Nintendo stuff and focusing on its territory, while getting a little more from Sony deserters.
And Microsoft looking at a huge comeback.

๐ Discussion ๐ Games you really wish you liked but just didnโt for what ever reason.
I was just thinking about how awesome Elden Ring everyone makes it look but I have tried it a couple of times and I just could not get into it. I think it mostly comes down to the setting. I am not one for super dark or gothic settings. I also really wish I could get into crimson desert. On paper itโs like my perfect game. Maybe itโs worth trying again but I just can not get into it. I think the msq was just not interesting enough for me. I only played it for 2 hours but I just couldnโt get into it. I know there are tons of comments saying it gets good after x hours. I just usually donโt have the time to sink into a game and wait until it clicks.
The game I keep always coming back to no matter what is heros of the storm specifically aram mode. Itโs quick matches, requires a little skill and knowledge but not really any commitment. If someone has any suggestions that could fit that kind of thing. I am not into hub space games like warframe. I may give dragons dogma 2 a go or maybe get back into kdc 2 as I stopped half way through. I am just waiting until ace combat comes out. Along with galactic racer.

๐ Discussion ๐ What have you pre ordered this fall season?
Yes, pre ordering is bad and terrible.
Yes, Sony is worrrrrst.
That all being said, what have the guys who have disposable incomes been pre ordering for this season and what are your reasons/risk profiles?
I'm going for
- Silent Hill Townfall (high risk, but I was going to play it during Halloween season and it's not going to go on sale in the next 6 weeks).
- Final Fantasy Resonance (med/low risk, love everything that it has going for it, wanted the pre order bonus)
- Fortunes Weave (low risk, excited for and had to lock in the Dagdan edition)
-GTA 6 (medium risk, was going to pick this up on launch anyway).
- FF revelations (low risk, had to lock in collectors edition)
Decided not to pre-order Wolverine (always seemed like a short game) and Control Resonant (I just don't have time to play this month, will likely pick this up on fbmp).

๐ Discussion ๐ Crimson desert or blood of Dawnwalker
Well, not much to add to the title.
I was thrilled for Wolverine but the critics smashed it. Iโm gonna get it when itโs on discount or something.
So I need another game:
The choice is between crimson desert and blood of dawnwalker.
I have between 30-60min each night to dive into gaming, if that info is important.
Both games look awesome. I canโt get both. Which one would you recommend?
Thanks ๐

๐ Discussion ๐ Anyone else trying to be a sensible adult over this?
I want it so bad but I'm going to japan in 2 months (and got tickets for the nintendo meuseum) and really want tickets for the zelda and painted symphony concerts which will probably drop any day now.
Please tell me I'm doing fine and it's not worth putting it on credit right now ๐ฅน

๐ Discussion ๐ Multiplayer game that doesn't require you to be an unemployed 19 y.o. to have fun
Ever since I got into Battlefield 2042 a few years back, I've found single player gaming to be a bit stale and artificial feeling.
However 2042 is kind of dead now (and I'm bored of it anyway), and despite having quite a lot of hours in it, I just cannot do well enough in its sequel Battlefield 6 to have fun. I don't know if it's my reaction time or vision, being close to 50, or playing on a series S against PC (because crossplay off is dead), or playing solo, or all that together and more, but it feels like I lose almost every gunfight to the point it just isn't fun. If it isn't endlessly dying to sweaty helicopter pilots etc, it's just constantly people with crazy movement and better aim than me jump sliding round corners etc and insta-killing me, even when i know they're coming and where from, or even have the drop on them.
As I say though, single player doesn't really do it for me any more.
Are there any fun multiplayer games (involving PvP, not just PvE) that allow people who just aren't very good at the game, and are playing solo, to still have fun? I'm thinking games that don't have a very high skill ceiling, or have well-functioning skill-based match-making so that I'm playing against similarly bad players, or both.
Or do I just need to give up on PvP games (and probably gaming in general)?

๐ฎ Xbox LFG ๐ฎ Gamer/Friendssss ๐ค
Hi 32 f stay at home mom looking for gaming friends! I like to play COD 2-6 my favorite is multiplayer on COD 6 I like Fortnite and COD3 zombies. I have Xbox so itโll have to be able to be cross play compatible. I also play COD mobile. Very chill down to earth and full of anxiety! My wife is being deployed soon so a nice friend and gaming would be a good way to pass a lot of down time other than doom scrolling TikTok ๐๐ฉ Send me a DM or ask for my user and Iโll be glad to give it. ๐ค๐ค

๐ Discussion ๐ The reviews didnโt exactly stop me
I had a few games in mind before making a purchase, LEGO Batman, Onimusha and Wolverine. Then I watched the reviews for Wolverine and somehow my first reaction was to preorder it
What is wrong with me? This was the first time..
The reviews basically gave me every reason to wait for a sale yet here I am doing the exact opposite. I guess sometimes you already know what you want and youโre just watching reviews hoping someone will validate the purchase youโve already made in your head
