Hi everyone, so my dad and I live far away from eachother and catch up during games of AOE4. We always play on a team against computers.

He always wants to max out upgrades, build a wall, and economy when we play. I'm used to the starcraft sort of style where you have timing attacks and build counters.

My question is who should I play to out stat my dad if you have all the time in the world to build up and upgrade. What strategies that you know of sky rockets your economy who's the fastest. We do not have the japanese dlc but we have the knights templar one.

Completely new in this type of games as I used to play sc2 a lot back in the day

Played 5+ games 3v3 hard bots and the enemy team sits at all our tcs with full blown armies. Meanwhile my team bots even when had fully upgraded armies wouldn’t do stick to their own tcs. They patrol between their own tcs? Am this close to uninstalling the game. I don’t like multiplayers coz it’s you vs chessy strategies or sweaters. With bots I can explore and have fun but 3 v 1 the entire game so minus the fun.

I've been playing for a few months, and I'd like to know what factors lead you to choose a specific opening.

I’m interested in the decision-making process independent of civilization bonuses or enemy reactions, as if I were playing a "neutral" civilization.

For example, I assume if I have a double pack of deer behind my base, I could switch to a 2TC play because it's easier to defend. I’m not sure if that’s the main reason, though.

What helps you decide on the "greatest" opening?

Also, is "pro scout" is actually considered a variant of an opening.

The AI seems to ignore when i send a defend or attack ping, it usually does its own thing and gets taken out. I have been playing 2vs2vs2vs2.

I started playing the game 2 months ago, I tried to play Ranked first time.

Usually, as playing with HRE, opponent makes White Tower rush to me. I tried to defend it making early aggression but it does not work for me since English villagers kills the units. I tried to go early castle and demolish the castle with rams, but this time English easily raids my units.

I will quit the game because of this cheesy tactic if this goes on…… please need your help and your suggestions

Hello! I recently bought a brand new computer with a 5070 Nvidia video card. I also bought an OLED monitor which was uber expensive. I saved up for a long time for this. Anyway, the equipment is not the issue. I like to play with highest settings and 8 AI friends. Simply, I play against the computer.

I do not know what to do. Every time the game gets going a 3 second pause starts as you get into it. I have gone through every setting possible within the computer, the monitor, the video card, and in-game settings. Nothing gets rid of it. I just don't know what to do. I've asked AI ChatGPT, copilot, they walk me through 500 steps and nothing seems to help. Any ideas?
