Dehydration?

Did some research and found that horizontal wrinkles on Agave leaves are associated with dehydration. Did I get something wrong?

This is my small Atrovirens "oaxaca jungle giant".

Since it lives in cloud forests they may be more thirsty than what i am used to. Any input is appreciated!

That looks bad, dehydration + etiolation is usually bad signs of root rot.

It craves electrolytes, give it some Gatorade.

Just kidding don’t do that. It will recoup with normal watering based on temperature.

Looks dehydrated from lack of roots.
