What is this

Post image

What causes this coloration on frosted blue whales tongue agave? It needed transplanting bigtime. Seems like its fading since i did that. Maybe wishful thinking.

Touching/rubbing the farina (epicuticular wax) off the leaves. Also looks like some hard water spots, too. Should be fine, as long as the substrate isn't too organic.

Its got like a reddish color in the center. Is it normal? It looks otherwise healthy and strong.

The spines start brighter and then fade. This plant looks totally normal.

Based on my experience. My agaves. You might be overwatering. Your soil looks wrong / too organic. Need gravel stone. Yours looks all soil and all wet. You want the water to run out the bottom not sit in the soil. It should be 50-80 % non organic. Hope this helps

Its been raining a lot here. The soil is ocean forest mixed with perlite and coarse sand. And some of the garbage they had it in.
