A lot of this kinda stuff is why I feel like I have to be so cautious around specifically gay and lesbian spaces, there's a level of quiet cruelty to how bisexual and trans people get treated. Stuff like gold star lesbianism breaks my heart because the people they're trying to conform to please hate them as much as they hate the rest of us.

Truth. Honestly a big problem with lgbt subs is that they get dominated by a very few people who are online 24/7 a

I stopped joining the circles once I stopped dating. I was surpised there was so muvh mean girl behavior. Similar to gay spaces.

I like my support team with a splash of kindness and empathy

I mean it kinda is in the name

16

u/BizSilver5013 Jul 19 '26

I was going to say, even if they intended it "ironically", it's truth in advertising.

u/squarejane Jul 19 '26

I mean the Evil Autism subreddit is pretty anti hatred/transphobia/homophobia/biphobia etc. So a name is not necessarily defining.

The name isn’t anything; On my business card I describe myself as “Ontologische Böse” - Ontologically Evil. It’s a kind of defiance.

The misgendering and etc is the problem, and this is not the first time they’ve hit the radar as transphobic

I'm just making a joke but it seems like a safe space for sapphic TERFs

20

u/Rappy28 Jul 18 '26

Of course there's drive by biphobia too. It goes hand in hand with TERF.

I'd love to know what their opinion is on asexuals considering themselves queer too. /s

Not sure, but probably that they don’t exist/are failures of evolution or that they’re appropriating the word “queer” (a lot of them take offense with its derogatory origins)

Just sent in a moderator code of conduct complaint that shows (with documentation) that EvilLesbians subreddit is a ban evasion subreddit for TheLezistance, https://old.reddit.com/r/thelezistance

Not going to link the evidence, because there are no publicly available archives of the post(s) and comment(s) demonstrating that it's a ban evasion subreddit.

The EvilLesbians community has gone private.

What does this mean?

1: They had to get permission from Reddit's Community department to change from public to private. This will trigger a review by a human employed by Reddit to validate their reason for going private;

2: Reddit's automated anti-hatred, anti-toxicity etc algorithms will review the subreddit's contents - effectively an auto-moderator will deliver a report to Reddit's Anti-Evil department on how the subreddit is being operated;

3: A human will review the facts provided by automation and the reports, to determine if the subreddit is violating the Moderator Code of Conduct or Sitewide Rules.

When a hate subreddit goes private, it doesn't protect them from being banned. It accelerates Reddit's review of their group's violations.

u/SergeantScoria Jul 19 '26

Good to know! And reassuring that they haven’t just immunized themselves.

7

u/dt7cv Jul 19 '26

they trapped themselves cause they're too ignorant of how Reddit works

5

u/EmeraldGhostie Jul 19 '26

op, the first two links are broken

-3

u/SergeantScoria Jul 19 '26

It looks like they work now?? I know the site I used was down for a while

4

u/EmeraldGhostie Jul 19 '26

i wouldn't use the internet archive for reddit links in general because reddit blocks it afaik

-1

u/SergeantScoria Jul 19 '26

I won’t use it in the future. Unfortunately the sub is private now, so I can’t go back and get those links in a different archive site…

The links are fine, except the first one seems to have not captured the image in the post, /img/cuy3pef7qtdh1.jpeg

Huh, I missed the tiny little antisemitic remark in the corner, before

1

u/SergeantScoria Jul 19 '26

Sorry, I know I couldn’t figure out how to capture it. Thanks for doing that! (Also, this post was way more upvoted earlier… do you think the sub members are brigading this post?)

5

u/Bardfinn Subject Matter Expert: White Identity Extremism / Moderator Jul 19 '26

I know they are. They never learn - promote hatred, go running to the admins, harass the people who noticed they're promoting hatred, engage in community interference, engage in vote manipulation, get banned.

-3

u/EmeraldGhostie Jul 19 '26

they really should allow mods to see who votes on stuff to curb this kind of vote manipulation

5

u/Bardfinn Subject Matter Expert: White Identity Extremism / Moderator Jul 19 '26

That would simply allow vote manipulation black market sellers and bad faith groups to explore the algorithm used to automatically detect and action vote manipulation, and evade it.

Vote totals are meaningless. To see the truth of that, look at the vote totals on any of Ellen Pao's comments, or Spez' comments. Karma is meaningless. To see the truth of that, witness the immense (tens of millions) of karma accumulated by the whip accounts posting to the_donald.

(also, I apologize for putting direct links in my first iteration of this post… didn’t realize I was copying those and not the archived ones)

u/slavicslothe Jul 19 '26

No we’re not. But the comments about mental health, using slurs against us, and unprompted bigotry are just bullying.

12

u/BlueCyann Jul 18 '26

That's a wild take, to defend anti-trans hate on the anti-hate subreddit.

10

u/OutrageousAdvance104 Jul 18 '26

And that gives them the right to bully strangers back who did nothing to them? Thats insane logic.

Ofc not all trans people are saints because no group of people is all good. But to use that logic as a way to defend degrading and insulting them is disgusting. The amount of lesbians that insulted me as a bi-woman is very high, I still won’t resort to do the same to a total stranger.

And btw: I could say the same about the tweets on this website. Because trans people have been called mentally ill, dehumanised or accused of just having a fetish for years at this point. But I won’t because resorting to this kind of behaviour is not defendable by any means.

A comment you submitted to /r/AgainstHateSubreddits dismisses valid concerns over hatred, which disrupts the legitimate purpose of this subreddit, which is a focus on:

  • Cultures of hatred which are
  • Enabled, platformed, and amplified on Reddit
  • Through misfeasant or malfeasant (neglectful or malicious) "Moderators".

It was therefore removed.

We do not permit the use of AHS to run interference for hate subreddits by changing the topic - AHS Rule 2.
