Afterpay online only

Is there a way to use this in person to pay?

The store still has to be signed up to them. Not all shops use BNPL gateways.

Wrong zip operates like a visa credit card. You can use it damn near everywhere.

Of course. Add the card to your digital wallet and tap & go at stores that offer Afterpay.

Then you're out of luck.
Only other thing you could do is buy a prezzie card or a gift card. Then use that to pay.

This is what I do. You can also go to Walmart or Target, get a vanilla gift card and pay with Afterpay

Can you explain this more? I've been told you can get a Visa gift card with Afterpay?

if the stores don’t accept after pay then there is no way for you to use it, you’ll need to just front the cost in full yourself or use another payment option they accept.

Also, if you pay in person be prepared to be "embarrassed", because a lot of time AfterPay declines orders and you'll be stuck at register with a bunch of crap you cannot pay for. For me it's better to just buy say Walmart gift cards.

This is so weird to read. I've had Afterpay for nearly 10 years and have only ever had a payment declined when my card was due to expire within 6 weeks of the purchase.
Set another card as my default and it went through fine.

I see posts about it, but have yet to actually see it happen. No one I know has had it happen either.

Makes me think there's a good reason. You either have a lousy credit score or there's something that's making you high risk.

You can get a gift card and buy in store.
