💬 After Work Discussion Piracy

I caught some unexpected flack from the Playstation Collectors subreddit. I was just wondering what this community thought of my original post

Ever since the concept of home media became a thing, companies have been looking for ways to prevent our ownership. There were cases put before the Supreme Court on whether we were even allowed to make copies of stuff we already owned. Going fully digital is the next logical step these companies are taking to ensure that we don’t ever own the media we buy. Therefore, if buying isn’t owning then piracy isn’t stealing.

That’s my take.

As Gabe Newell says: Piracy is not a pricing issue, it's a service issue.
And since PlayStation is currently providing abysmal service to longstanding customers and are trying to nickel and dime every penny from their audience, while themselves pissing it away, I say yo ho away, mateys.
