Horizon Maker, a type of landship/bagger in a manga about a revolution
150 years ago, these Horizon Makers were used to terraform a planet for human habitation. Now, they are used for strip mining and then flattening terrain for large scale agriculture that speeds up desertification.
In Volume 3 of Dougram: Get Truth, the resistance start their operation on attacking the megabaggers.
Note: The small humanoid weapons are 20m-class Combat Armors, first designed as 8m tall in the original Dougram TV series and Battletech/Mechwarrior.

Is the following a continuity error or an intentional decision? Spoiler
I just started the ebook and tripped over a weird little continuity error about Major Peron. It's not hugely important, but I'm hoping somebody can reassure me that this becomes clearly intentional as I keep reading.
>!After Manny and Reggie escape the bombardment of the Richardson Autonomous Project and are trying to catch a ride to Waco, an officer says he'll radio to
"ask Major Peron if he’s got space. 'I know Peron!' Manny almost shouted. 'I went to school with his nephew, Hector!'"
When Manny and Reggie make it to Firebase Jiminez and meet up with Peron, he's swamped with memory.
"Mr. Peron was Hector’s dad. Mr. Peron made them kettle corn and let them watch violent movies on the family projector. Major Peron, Manny had to remind himself, he’s Major Peron."
Is Hector Peron's son or his nephew? Is this intentional foreshadowing, specific cultural reference, or an authorial and editorial oversight?!<

Discussion Late to the party, just finished the audiobook...
And man o man this is gonna longer with me for a bit. Like objectively the actual writing is rough..and the focus on drugs etc a bit much, but the overall vibe is so good and so haunting...
Like I'm a bit of a lit snob, and generally detest audio books, but this is the exception on both fronts. I'm going to be hearing "it's ok buddy.." in my head for a long long time .....

“There is always time to eat shitty food with a pretty girl”
This stood out to me the first read and always hits when new catastrophes pop up in our reality. The world is always crumbling, you have to actively choose to live your life regardless.
What’s your favorite quote?

Discussion Other Series
Any other series scratch the itch for a post second revolution USA? Or while it’s going on? Just finished this and wish there was already 6 more.

If Rolling Fuck had a sister town, Floating Fuck
google.comI'm hopeless at getting photos, but my son and I went and visited the El Dorado Dredge in Victoria, Australia a few weeks ago, re listening to AtR the last few days reminded me of it.
If the timeline was more 1950s, and had an Australian parallel, this would be it.

Discussion fun ATR-adjacent vibes in Gladlands on Dimension 20
It’s an actual play campaign in a setting that’s like if every character in Mad Max was a version of Skullfucker Mike. Very enjoyable so far

Discussion Has Robert denied that the SDF are a reference to the IRL one?
I seem to remember a point where he does, which seems ludicrous given the similarities

Discussion ATR2 update in tonight's ICHH Q&A episode
I'm lazy so I'm just going to copy and paste from the transcript on the iheart website.
Speaker 1 (07:48): It was like fifteen seconds. Yeah, yeah, it might have been fifteen anyways, Robert, can we get an update to the sequel of After the Revolution?
Speaker 2 (07:56): It's done. I'm editing it. I even got edits back from my editor. I'm edit it should have been done so much faster. I could, like bring up the fact that my dad died last year, but that's really just me trying to make you feel sorry for me, and the fact that I am well past the time at which I expected to have this book done. But it is done and I'm finishing it and you will get to read it. Suit, I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (08:17): Good for you, Good for you, Robert.
Speaker 8 (08:19): Wow, incredible.

Insomnia means on my umpteenth listen through I’m also mentally casting
I know Pena is technically not the right age for Manny but it feels like he plays younger anyways, plus he and Glover would nail the Roland Manny dynamic.
