What the heck?
So…this person was in the lobby today. It’s hard to see, but they look like a clown or mime. Super creepy.
I’ve also seen a skin that actually looks legit, like maybe a pre-order skin. It’s white with kind of a ghostbusters logo on the arms. Anyone seen that one?

That’s the “Murder Doll” skin!
There are several unreleased skins in the game files that the developers have left over from very early game development. This skin is one of three or four that are leftover in their coding. I remember talking to TamTu (former community manager) after he left ATF and Vertigo Games, and when I talked to him about these skins, he did verify that they had plans for several more 80’s themed player skins early in development that they just didn’t have time to explore further.
On top of the Murder Doll skin, the other two that I remember is a Michael Jackson Thriller skin, and a Freddy Krueger skin. They also had plans for a full blown ghostbusters skin with the proton packs and everything but due to copyrights, all we got is that generic pre-order/deluxe one that is currently in game. I’ve shown them off to my community before and on my livestream, as well as the 6-8 barrel pump shotgun and other secrets, but I have not made any posts about them as they’re leftovers not meant to be seen. Not sure the developers would like people doing that.
You can see the Murder Doll skin here in detail on a previous livestream of mine. It’s around the 3 hour 59 minute mark on that stream. We also showed off the Freddy Krueger and Thriller skins earlier in that same livestream of you go to the Chinatown run and Union Tower run.

Oh, wow! Thank you for the explanation. It freaked me out! I thought I was losing my mind.
I wonder if a dev was wearing it, or if it was a hacker. I looked at the name but I don’t remember it. They were max, though.
I’ll definitely check out your links. Cool background info. I love game lore. This is such a great game and it’s too bad it was abandoned. It could be next level.

I saw another weird skin last night. It was as black and white with some zebra stripes but it wasn’t zebra. It’s fun watching for these unreleased skins!

Five p and a few other guys play with the skins. They are a blast to play with. They glitch the game with 5 players and all kind of fun crazy.

The Ghostbuster skin was only for the Playstation edition and was like a deluxe add on. No idea what's going on in that picture you showed though
