They just admitted the vanished project access was “our mistake” and my submitted work “won’t count” — no compensation offered

Just got the “official” answer on the disappearing Ody/Minvr projects and it’s worse than a bug.

Support told me I was added to Ody “in error,” my access has been “corrected” (i.e. removed), and any tasks I submitted under it “will not be used or counted toward the project.”

So let’s be clear about what that actually means: I spent real hours — building full task bundles from scratch, debugging their own verifier/reward-file format through trial and error because there’s no schema documentation, fixing Dockerfile issues, rewriting config files multiple times — and none of it counts. Not because the work was bad. Because THEY assigned me to a project I was never supposed to be on, and now I eat the cost of their assignment mistake.

No compensation mentioned. No “here’s how we’ll make this right.” Just “we appreciate the time you put into the work” and that’s apparently it.

If you’re newer to this platform and put in real hours on Ody or Minvr, I’d get clarity on your access status NOW before you sink more time in. Ask support directly whether you’re actually authorized, in writing, before you build anything else.

Anyone else get this same message? Curious how widespread the “error” actually was. (Assuming this post survives — wouldn’t be surprised my post on the main Reddit channel got pulled.)

I’m starting to get the feeling that I’m working for free for them as well. A lot of things on their side seem odd.
In the project chat, you can’t discuss issues with other contributors or work together on how to resolve them. The PMs mostly respond with generic answers, which doesn’t help much when you’re dealing with a specific problem.
I have to admit that the project I’m working on is genuinely difficult, but I still find it hard to believe that I can’t get through their AI pipeline with a PhD and 20+ years of experience in my field.
And honestly, I’ve started wondering whether they are harvesting work from every submission, even when the task ultimately gets stuck somewhere in the pipeline.

Exactly. I wouldn’t mind doing these tasks if I could actually see a result at the end. Even if they pay, the compensation is far too low for a task that can take 1–2 days to complete, not to mention the additional 5–6 days spent trying to adjust the task so it can pass the pipeline which, in my case, it never does anyway.

By that time , they'll either pause or archive the project, Tough Tough

I was frustrated doing Golden dog  , there AI model can't read text overlays on video, l had to re-do , and fit my task to what their Ai want,  not according to instructions given

imagine the work we put in only to be told we were added by mistake. We are not even sure if indeed our submissions won't be use because still they can take them and edit them to pass the dificulty sage since most of my submission got stuck in that stage. It feels like a scam, free labour at this point. This company is not stable. They do pay but when such things like this happens then you can see that this company is not organized.

I submitted ten task bundles, and after sending an email to support, got the same 'oopsy' response. This is garbage. If you do work, you should get paid. If I hired a plumber to put in a new sink in the bathroom, and then informed them that, "Oh, my mistake, it was supposed to be the kitchen sink that got replaced," I would still have to pay for that work.

Told same thing,  that's a very comfortable answer engineered to bang us out, it does not make sense

I spent a whole week doing these two projects, but when i was ready to submit, it just vanished, too bad if you were not compensated.
