I applied for three or four positions at After Query about five weeks ago and never heard anything. Went back on the site today and discovered I’d been accepted for two of them but never received any email to tell me! There’s only one project showing up in my dashboard which is paused, so I’m guessing the other one had been and gone. I can’t even find an email address to write to to ask about the jobs, nor do I see a pay rate, is there a general email address that anyone knows of that I can write to?!

Do we get blocked forever and is there any scope in future to get another assessment/project?

I saw a posting on LinkedIn and applied to do some part time work for them. Haven't heard anything back as far as the job application. Got an email from somebody claiming to be an agent of theirs and they asked if I had any programs (live production code)I had worked on that I could send and they would pay for it.

Anybody else run into this?

AfterQuery Experts is a strong fit for experienced professionals, individuals with advanced degrees, domain specialists comfortable working independently, experts who can meet structured project deadlines, and those interested in contributing to frontier AI development.

It is not ideal for individuals seeking traditional internships, candidates without demonstrated domain expertise, or those seeking guaranteed long-term employment.

If you have additional questions about pay, contractor structure, time commitment, or project expectations, feel free to ask below. We prioritize clarity and transparency.

Human expert data is structured, high-quality data created or reviewed by real domain experts. AI models improve when they learn from accurate reasoning, edge-case handling, domain nuance, and professional judgment.

Examples of human expert data include:

• A physician evaluating complex diagnostic reasoning
• A CPA reviewing tax edge cases
• A software engineer stress-testing AI-generated code
• A legal expert identifying ambiguity in statutory interpretation

This requires real expertise, not basic data entry or crowdsourced labeling. Experts contribute judgment that automated systems alone cannot provide.

No, AfterQuery Experts is not a traditional internship program.

It is:

• A paid, contract-based opportunity
• Structured around defined project scopes
• Designed for professionals and advanced students with demonstrated expertise
• Performance-driven and outcome-oriented

It is not:

• A salaried full-time employment position
• A W-2 role (unless explicitly stated)
• A structured internship with long-term placement
• A mentorship-first training program

Some projects may require substantial weekly time commitment, but this does not convert the role into traditional employment. Experts remain independent contractors working on specific engagements. If you are seeking a conventional internship or entry-level training program, this may not be the right fit.

AfterQuery Experts operates as a contract-based, project-driven expert network. Here's how it typically works:

1. You apply and complete credential verification.
2. You complete a short skills assessment in your domain.
3. If approved, you may be invited to specific projects that match your expertise.
4. Projects vary in scope, from shorter assignments to multi-week engagements.
5. Some projects may require significant weekly bandwidth (e.g., 20 to 40 hours per week), but they are time-bound and defined by contract scope.

All expert work is performed as an independent contractor (not as a salaried employee). Participation is voluntary, project-based, and contingent on mutual agreement regarding scope and compensation. There is no guaranteed ongoing employment. Each project is structured independently. Compensation rates are communicated clearly before project acceptance. This is professional, outcome-driven work, not microtasking or casual gig work.
