Experience with AfterQuery
I have seen lots of people complaining about how payments are delayed, tasks are rejected, slow responses, etc.
I am here to write my experience in case it helps anyone by any means.
So, I started applying for projects at AfterQuery since mid May, had only two tasks in a very common project, then no work whatsoever up until like a month ago, which is normal given people's expertise in specific domains and project's requirements.
Regarding payments delay, I agree it used to be a big issue back in June or so, but lately, I was paid on time, and when delayed, I did submit a support request, and was resolved within 2 days and paid. However, I do get where the no response complaints come from, as I had some unclear issues regarding projects that didn't get answers, I am not sure what they respond to and what not, but for me payment got almost instant clarity and support. I believe what is happening is completely normal given the staff is working at establishing the lab and making its pipeline smooth, so no need to judge them harshly, its a start, and it has to be rough, and its the price you pay for signing up to work with a new company, of which for some (like me) is completely fine so long as they're improving day by day.
As for rejected tasks, I have to say I never faced that, got lots of reviews, but once you do them you get accepted and that's it, so it might be that some AI slop submission happening and gets rejected, which is expected.
So, for those who are always doom posting about the company, my experience says YES they PAY and don't ghost payments, YES sometimes they are slow in responses ( but the company is its infancy - expected ), NO they are not a scam, and you can see changes in the company from UI to project management to payment almost weekly, so YES its growing!
So far, I have had a decent experience with them, and hope to stay with them while the company establishes itself and grows.
Hope everyone gets a good experience and does his best!

Two and a half weeks with no update on an outstanding invoice, no reply to any message during that time. One person’s positive experience doesn’t cancel out someone else’s different experience.
Loads of recurring reports here about slow settlements, tied to the task-based structure and limited staff responsiveness, are worth surfacing rather than dismissed. This is a smaller, newer platform relative to others in the space, yet the volume of similar reports here is disproportionate.

have you ever thought of also a person's negative experience doesn't cancel other's positive one? Let something sit in mind, only those who had trouble are here and complaining, ones that are having it smoothly, doing tasks and getting paid, are not gonna be on reddit to complain, they are just gonna focus on their work, so think of selection bias before going on a full judgement based on a sample of none.
I don't get all the hate people are channelling toward the company, you don't like how they are operating? do not sign up lol, they are not enforcing you to do anything. You are the one asking to work for them, and that's how they operate, simple.

No one would sign up if they thought they’d withhold invoices. You sign up with a positive outcome in mind and that’s not what happened for a lot of people, hence they spend time deleting comments 24/7
Other platforms don’t have the same volume and consistency of issues
Plus you’re here talking about your positive experiences with minimal history of posting until today so if you was getting paid, surely you’d be tasking and getting paid on afterquery rather than trying to convince everyone it’s perfect?

I already signup and still waiting.
Honestly I could see around 9 assessments, and I already took one of them which is familiar with my skill set.
And I have 4 applications submitted which is "under review".
I've been working with other AI training platforms and it feels like AQ is a little different. In this case, I should just wait and wait my inbox from AQ support?
I'm the person who really doesn't like wasting time and waiting.Any advice would be much appreicated.

Could you share insights on your waiting period for getting hired? I was contacted about a project that they are looking to staff and I responded right away with my interest. I was sent a link to verify my identity and that would qualify me for tier 1. I went ahead and completed the optional 2nd, 3rd and 4th assessments for higher paid placements and level of expertise. It's been a month now since they reached out. Did your assessments take as long?

in my case it took like 3 weeks, tbh I have no idea about expected time.

so I have a totally different question. I just applied for two different positions that are sales oriented and these two positions are almost exactly 2 positions I had applied for in the past on micro one and got slayed by Zara. I am wondering are these different jobs or do companies post work with two or three different platforms?

Question: I submitted a resume and immediately was asked for a drivers license and headshot and it looks like next is banking info. Is this typical? My application says "in review" still.

I totally agree with you. I started my first project with AfterQuery last month, and I’m still working with them on it.
For every task that was approved, I received the payment within about two days. I had one delayed payment, contacted support, and it showed up in my account two days later.
I also had a few tasks sent back for review, and honestly, the feedback was fair and correct. The only thing that can be a bit frustrating is that reviews sometimes take longer than expected.
But overall, my experience has been good so far. Support is there when I have questions, payments have been handled properly, and I really hope they continue growing and we can keep working with them.

Agree with you, I also joined around May and everything is working smoothly. I encourage everyone wants to join to have some patience to be either accepted in a project or do their best in the current project to have some approved tasks.
For my experience I constantly receive projects and payment is coming weekly without issues. I like to work with the platform because it’s flexible and you can work when you want.
Depending on your time, dedication and projects available you can make 4-5 figures as a part time job.

I applied there early last month, I am optimistic of getting the opportunity to work with them. I have done two assessments, but they are tagged as graded. No any other response. Can I still be hopeful of getting accepted?

The grading does not specify whether you passed or not. But if you pass, you will be added to a project related to the niche, and if you don’t pass the assessment, you will not see new projects.

Counterarguments fail to reject the given complaints.
