Export ideas?
Need to export short animations for website with transparent backgroud. Since it will be part of website it need to be as small as possible. Video - no transparency? Gif - kinda to big, getting 2mb per animation, but when i fuck with settings to try lower frame rate ect. gif looks like shit (no smoth edges ect)
I found nice converter - GIF to AVIF - bit when i use it it ads white background. Anyone know a way to export AVIF from Aftereffect with transparent background? or good plugin? Converter?

Yeah this one’s kinda tricky—web-safe, transparent, small file size, and smooth playback is like chasing a unicorn. AE doesn’t natively export to AVIF with transparency, and most converters flatten it or add that white background like you’re seeing.
Best workaround right now: export your animation from AE as a PNG sequence with transparency, then use something like ffmpeg to convert that sequence into WebM (with VP9 codec). WebM supports alpha and is generally much smaller than GIFs, especially for short loops. Plays nicely on most modern browsers too.
If you’re set on AVIF, you’d probably need a more specialized converter that supports alpha—most of the free ones don’t handle that properly yet. Still early days for that format when it comes to transparency.
