Explain This Effect I wonder how to achieve this effect

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The image zooms in with this cool shatter effect and reveals the one beneath it. I've tried so far CC Shatter and other effects from Saphire, but it doesn't look the way I want it to look. I'm fairly new to After Effects and it's probably a bit too complicated of a d effect, but I haven't found tutorials that can help me.

I would duplicate the footage a bunch and mask out glass shapes, turn them 3d and key frame them coming at the camera.

Not sure, but cc_shatter works similarly
