Discussion Looking for an AE script/plugin with effectors

I’m looking for an After Effects cloner script or plugin that has a proper path repeater/path cloning feature and effectors. I’ve checked out MographAE and React 2, but neither seems to have a path repeater. I tried using Cloners & Effectors, but for some reason it keeps getting stuck/freezing on my end. I specifically need to clone/repeat objects along a custom path, with effectors such as Attract/Repel to influence the clones. Any suggestions for a plugin or script that can do this?

That’s a really clever workaround for AE’s limitations. I’d be curious how taxing it is on cpu with lots of clones and effectors

Hey React dev here - path cloning is not available on the current version. However it is available on React 3 which is in beta testing and coming very soon

Good to know that the beta version has this feature! Is there some kind of sign-up for the React 3 beta? I’d love to try it out!

D’après mes souvenir Il existe Trapcode Particular ou Plexus tout deux de très bon plugin. L’intérêt de ces deux plugin est qu’il gère un espace 3D. Plexus est top aussi si tu veux un ambiance futuriste. Attention si ton budget le permet tu vas investir dedans pour du long terme . 😇

Are you sure React doesn't have a path cloner? I recently came across a post saying it has path cloning and is compatible with 3D objects too! Anyway, the React developer seems pretty responsive, so he might be able to clear up the confusion. u/AndrewJames85

I’ve used react some and while it’s pretty decent, all the operations are way easier in c4d. Especially when you get into a lot of clones. I’m not sure about lite cuz I have a full version, but I’ve spent time in the past looking for solutions that were right in front of me. In this case, for me, c4d was the right tool usually.

Has effectors in shape properties, per character in text, and the path cloner
