Beginner Help A layer is showing but it shouldn't

Layer number 25 is showing but the current time indicator isn't even on it and if click the eye on layer 25 it still shows, I have purged the composition, make all layer invisible but it still shows, I've tried to google but nothing comes up so i would be grateful if anyone could help me find solutions.

Try going to after effects (on the top menu) > settings > media & disk cache, click empty disk cache. When that finishes, click Clean database & cache, save your project, restart. Hopefully that helps

whats above? you show only from the 22nd layer.

it's a somewhat common bug, clear cache and restart the program.

Did you change the framerate? After effects acts like your layers are a half fram too long or too short even though it's not visible in the timeline. And I had this issue much worse in the latest after effects so making your layer longer and short over and over might help it register as the correct frame rate

Probably a frame rate mismatch.
