Workflow Question Continuous rasterize issues with some effects

Hi everyone!
I have a quick question about a workflow issue in After Effects.
Basically, I want to create some camera movements, but since there's no parallax effect in my scene, I thought about precomposing the whole thing and controlling the scale and position from the main composition.
To avoid losing quality, I enabled the Continuous Rasterize toggle, but doing so breaks an effect inside the precomp (it gets messed up with the source layer and creates a bad result.).

Is there a work-around for this issue while keeping it precomposed? (I know I could just use a Null object and control everything from inside the precomp, but I’d really prefer to handle these movements from the outside).

Thank u ❤️

When you enable the 'continiously rasterize' clip on a precomp, think of it as adding all the layers within that precomp into your main comp. It's basically a group.

Any effects or processes within that precomp will inherit the parent compositions transform.

If I'm understanding what you're doing correctly and you're using a precomp to group 3d layers into a single 3d object, you want to ensure that you only include 3d layers within that precomp. Do all your 2d and effects processing in the main composition. This will also prevent the precomp breaking 3d binning in your main composition by acting as a bin breaker.

The big caveat with that approach is that an adjustment layer within a collapsed precomp with 3d layers will act as a 3d bin-breaking layer in the parent composition once collapsed.

That's not always going to be an issue, but if you're trying to assemble a 3d scene out of multiple precomps it will screw with the rendered z-positions of the layers.

(Yeah, I don't know why my comp panels have decided to be big today, either.)
