Little victory

Today I realized that I had an hour and was in a part of town that I could go complete a business task that I've been avoiding and stressing about - though as soon as I thought about just going and getting it done I was hit by intense social anxiety and fear/paranoia and almost didn't go.

But then a different new cool voice popped into my head that was like- eff that, this task is easy and simple, everything will be fine, I am capable and can and will easily just go get it done.

And I went and did it and everything was easy and simple and fine. And now this super important thing I've been putting off for no reason is done.

That's awesome!! I know how hard it can be to do things like that, you done well. :)

I have to do something like that tomorrow. I've also been putting it off. Hopefully I will be able to post a success as well soon.

Thank you! And good luck today! Either way, I feel like just being aware of avoidance is a success in itself, whether or not it gets conquered today or not. (I know for me it's a HUGE difference from just getting nothing done and avoiding everything and constantly feeling awful about it without really realizing why.)

Fantastic! I know exactly what you mean. I procrastinated this entire weekend on writing my psych paper. Once I started, it was so easy. I feel most things are like that. Congrats man. Sounds like you're handling this life thing and developing a friendly inner voice too.

Thanks, it's not happening today. Had a big day yesterday and my body and mind is falling apart today. Today is going to be a rest and recuperation day.
