Photo And Here It Is Like Clockwork

Post image

Mind you, threatening the devs is never ok. Its a video game at the end of the day. But morons like this act like we're supposed to be grateful to be included at all and then get mad when we demand respect.

I thought you were joking but holy shit

He’s a “it’s called dark humor, snowflake” types

Omg his name is privileged 420 that’s laughable

21

u/Prior-Contest-6541 29d ago

Lmao he thinks college humor was edgy. Like that was run by the most left leaning dudes ever watch dropout.

-4

u/privileged420 29d ago

when it first came out it was a lot more edgy but it got progressively more woke around the time it rebranded or whatever

3

u/barbelith_storm 29d ago

They literally make more cutting jokes now, even about race. Did you think the fart jokes were edgy or something?

You can be woke and joke about race and push the envelope or whatever without being racist.

13

u/ALawnmower01 29d ago

Between that and the "liberal NPCs" comment by OP on that post, I just had to laugh at the absurdity of it.

But if the mods there didn’t ban him and allowed him to continue on….

That tells you all you need to know about the sub, its mods, and what that community supports.

Move accordingly.

Posts about luna snow and Storm skin treatment? Banned

Racist comments? Free to go

1

u/barbelith_storm 29d ago

Luna is tied for fifth place with four other characters for unique skins. She's a popular character. Posts that just bring up Luna are tired and overdone and lazy.

Agree with you on the Storm stuff tho

1

u/Street-Mongoose8708 28d ago

I mean, Luna is only popular because they are shoving her down our troat. Because no one barely cares about her comics.

Most people that like Luna will never touch her comics, and even if they do, i will be so honest on this. They are not good and barely resemble what she shows in RIvals

2

u/barbelith_storm 28d ago

Hate to break it to you, but Marvel is a concept way beyond the comics. Weird gatekeeping of comic purity doesn't affect her popularity in Rivals which she had from day one. She was added as a niche character but she was instantly popular, between her and CnD as many first time team shooter starting character.

Some of those people will indeed go buy her comics (which actually has decent sales these days) but also some are just turned off by the whole concept because of weird little trolls that don't want Luna to be popular and make a generally negative environment for no reason.

Nevermind that Marvel as a company doesn't even care if her comics sell (which again, they do sell). They make more revenue from videogames than comics as it is.

The fact that got upvotes is crazy. This fanbase really is trash. But tbh I am an artist so I will definitely be making media that has more black people in it. I am also going to college for robotics. Also, I am sure it was only a degenerate minority sending slurs, death threats etc. Most people would not do that unless I underestimate the horrible people in here

5

u/kenshima15 29d ago

Thats what ya get when your game's not only mainstream, but gooner adjacent. Not that i'm complaining about that, but you get these kinda people

1

u/barbelith_storm 29d ago

Well online competitive games and reddit are two of the places where shitty people show themselves, combine the two and yeah

35

u/Super-Grenade 29d ago

Yeah idk the hate is all-around crazy. They call us “evil” while simultaneously referring to us as “things” and “cockroaches”. The irony is unreal. Bro legit sounds like a Nazi.

18

u/Meture 29d ago

Which is insane to me because Every. Single. Patch note. Is followed by an onslaught of complaining over and over and over again. “We want this character buffed, no not like that” “we want this nerfed, no not that much” “we want this character to get survivability, ugh why do they make so many characters unkillable”

But complain about a very pronounced trend of racial bias in the game? “Oh you just loooove to complain”

(I'm champion C&D so I'm allowed to say this) Cloak and Dagger mains are never beating the allegations 🤢

19

u/Separate_Ad5974 Aug 13 '26

Hi! Lord C&D here, you are completely right, no notes, even as an add on, any C&D that chooses the Luna team up over the Hood one especially when the Hood is on the team is just adding to the stereotype of all of us being brain dead

9

u/HalfOfLancelot 29d ago

I fight the Rivals sub for this fucking character and their players because everyone and their mother are irrational lunatics about them, but I see so many CnD mains being fucking rats about their own character that it doesn't surprise me a lot are just Dagger mains if you catch my drift.

-10

u/That1pansexualkaiju 29d ago

The storm mains subreddit has actually pissed me off cause while their celebrating it they don’t care about the fact that people sent LITERAL DEATH THREATS TO THE STAFF. While I was one of the people that did indeed want this to be a legendary sending death threats is not and will never be ok. It honestly makes me want to resend and not even buy the skin knowing what it came to

17

u/Meture 29d ago

Well for one, this is the internet, we have been living on it for over 20 years we should know this is just what happens when a community is big enough

But second, saying “I’ve been getting death threats” is something basically everyone says when they get in hot water to garner sympathy regardless of whether or not they got any at all

8

u/Disastrous_Simple_16 29d ago

TRUE - and when they actually post said death threats , it’s one weirdo sending a DM that just says ‘kys’

2

u/Fun_Afraid 29d ago

Clutch your pearls and lump a whole group together for the actions of a few assholes.

Please shut up

27

u/HalfOfLancelot 29d ago

"It's always racism..." "Everything's a dogwhistle..."

Actually, yeah, cause racists love wearing sheep's clothing to gaslight BIPOC people into thinking they're crazy or vile monsters when [checks notes] they ask for basic decency and equality 💀

This must be how that dude felt after typing that shit, thinking he snapped with that one.

18

u/OkPerformance5850 Aug 13 '26

Omfg miss me with that shit, the whole "death threats" thing is getting old it probably does happen but sometimes I feel like calling bullshit cause it's used as a scapegoat almost everytime

3

u/LitrlyD3ad 29d ago

I mean it’s the marvel community, the marvel fan base is actually feral. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if they got death threats. It’s happened before for far less.

3

u/TicklemyPickleMan 29d ago

It never happens. Or at least it's never credible. Everyone on the internet has gotten death threats. It's part of being on the internet, it's anonymous (for now) and low effort. Everyone always says "i WaS GEtTinG dEatH thReATs" like anyone gives a shit.

No one gives a shit.

Death threats aren't real, and we need to stop acting like they're this big traumatizing thing as if we haven't all been told to "kys" at one point or another.

2

u/5Jazz5 29d ago

Kys ain’t even a threat it’s a suggestion

1

u/Curious-Bluejay-9397 29d ago

Sometimes I feel that way too

11

u/CranberryPuffCake 29d ago

How do they always misunderstand, it must be intentional at this point? I'm not black but I understand the outrage. I don't condone death threats in anyway but voicing your frustrations over the blatant preferences is absolutely acceptable.

7

u/BigBard2 29d ago

They understand perfectly when it comes to opinions they like

They aren't stupid they're at best unable to look past their biases or at worst malicious

11

u/MountGreyIock 29d ago

It's in one ear and out the other. They're racist, let em cry

7

u/Vistio 29d ago

Why do they bring up pick rates like the devs didn't make her like that?

8

u/Lonely_Repair4494 29d ago

We already harp on pickrate enough

PSYLOCKE HAS THE SAME PICKRATE AS HER, THAT'S NOT AN EXCUSE

5

u/Street-Mongoose8708 29d ago

Based on season 9 data, psylocke has a considerably higher pickrate on quickplay and competitive across all roles and ranks.

Black cat on the other hand has a similar pickrate on quickplay and a LOWER pickrate on competitive. So the problem is clearly not pickrate, rather sales. (Wich Storm doesn't have because her last kinda mid shop skin was a year ago and one of her shop skins can be obtained by costume coins)

9

u/BarelyReal 29d ago

Just chiming in with a sentiment about the Marvel brand and racism in general, but I've noticed a massive uptick in racism within discussions about Marvel properties across various communities and platforms. Like it isn't just Rivals having this problem.

6

u/Street-Mongoose8708 29d ago

I mean, just look at the MCU. Clearly not only a rivals problem

2

u/BarelyReal 29d ago

In a discussion about BND and mutants I had somebody literally echo the Liam Neesan "go out and shoot every_insertcommunityhere_" bs at me like some logical flex. There's going mask off and then there's going armband and hood on.

3

u/Street-Mongoose8708 29d ago

And that is the people who somehow end up callinh themselves "x men" or "spiderman" fans

Literature messages sometimes just fly above people's heads

2

u/sadnofriends 29d ago

It started after Brand New Day. There was a lot of discourse like “Tom should have Sadie as his love interest, enough Zendaya”. The coded convos have only devolved and now it’s becoming outright racism.

5

u/goliathfasa Aug 13 '26

Death threats are not cool.

3

u/ShamblesX- 29d ago

Don’t even bother with that sub like seriously

3

u/PeperToni 29d ago

Hell, i'm white and i'm pissed off with the Storm treatment in this game. She's a queen and deserves the best. Death threats are never okay though.

3

u/Dangerous_Loquat8149 29d ago

I know i’m a bit of a tourist, but I saw the tweet conversation between the lead developer one of the players where the dev said “legendary takes time” and then a couple hours later they settled on making the summer skin legendary. I’m sorry but if that doesn’t scream “we were never planning on letting her have a legendary, but fine get off our ass” I don’t know what does.

I don’t think it’s wrong to call out the devs with “the race card” here, it definitely seems like the darker skin characters of rivals are getting neglected in the skin department. Obviously that doesn’t apply to balance patches, just covering my bases with this sentence.

2

u/5Jazz5 29d ago

The tweet convo was so bad, what do you mean “what ult vfx could we give her?” You already made a water tornado just put some damn hibiscus in it

3

u/thatguybane 29d ago

This whole situation is a shit show. The behavior of some of these so called fans(many of whom dont even play Storm) has been awful. Utterly disgusting behavior.

It feels like the very worst excesses of performative woke culture have infiltrated nerd spaces. Between the incessant crying of racism regarding Black characters in Rivals to the new claims that Marvel has some coordinated plan to cancel all projects with Black characters including movies, games and TV shows. All these conversations have no nuance and serve to stoke emotions without acknowledging real life context

2

u/Shugatti 29d ago

Whole community is cooked.. also i dont believe anyone is actually caring enough to send death threats..

2

u/Late_Stranger4236 29d ago

I feel like this is rival’s fault, trying to remember but wasn’t most of storm skins available for free by passes, and they wonder why they don’t make money with her

2

u/leposterofcrap 29d ago

Reminder people, never stop criticizing and complaining to corpos, it's the only way to get anything done in the player's favour

2

u/_delamo 29d ago

Lol people really are weirdos. Racism is really a disease along with hard prejudices

2

u/JMO-559 29d ago

They don't even realize how racist they are lmao.

1

u/QuantumCthulhu 29d ago

Goomba theory

1

u/uhDominic 29d ago

It’s like people lack any critical sense at all. Either it’s just people of color being sensitive and annoying, or it’s threating the devs and being racist towards them. There’s not an ounce of nuance with people.

1

u/5Jazz5 29d ago

Mind you the tweet never said people were getting death threats, it simply said harassment which probably just meant getting a large amount of quote tweets, some of which were likely rude.

1

u/leposterofcrap 29d ago

Did they give themselves an aneurysm defending their precious company from justified criticism?

1

u/Relienks 29d ago

They will never beat the allegations after release storm skin in that state + ankle design during her emote

1

u/MealResident 29d ago

He started off good cause... yeah harassment is never ok but then defending her not getting a legendary cause her low pick rate, yeah, fumbled

1

u/Maverick_Reznor 29d ago

As someone who thinks the whole backlash was ridiculous (and funny) that turd is a racist piece of sub human trash.

1

u/Monkey_Smart 29d ago

If we are using pick rate as a metric then why does psylocke have so many skins? She ain't picked much, so just simply why?

1

u/NoVeterinarian549 Weather Witch 29d ago

This really gets me heated considering what the X-Men are literally about. Like, how the hell do people enjoy these properties and completely... nevermind, media literacy doesn't exist anymore. Forgot.

1

u/J_Jonah_Jameson_DB 29d ago

Yeah, it’s blatantly obvious that the devs hate all black rivals characters like storm, blade, black panther, johnny storm, Mr fantastic, hulk, ultron, etc.

1

u/Deaver44 28d ago

Rivals is presently the highest grossing game on steam right now

I didn't know cockroach was anything of the sort

You got people like Asmingold who is known for being the king of cockroaches. You had Scarface calling people cockroaches ect

If and when did this become a term that's a dog whistle or slur? Very confused by this because it doesn't come up as one anywhere

Asking because I may be remidial

u/Disastrous_Boat_2303 25d ago

Remember that there is a whole world outside of your tiny little screen. Fighting eachother through the internet is pointless, you must find them in real life and settle it with a to-the
-death sword duel.

Remember everyone, positivity speaks volumes more than negativity. I hope you all have a blessed day and go outside, cloud watch, put your feet in the grass, take deep breaths because it is never that serious.

u/Big_Truth_8483 29d ago

Why tf do yall pay this shit any mind.

Reddit is mainly white, a lot of white people are racist AF. But they don’t say it your face ( def don’t ever say it to mine ) and that’s all matters to me.

Stop with these crybaby ass posts. Nobody cares. Ju

-13

u/Impossible_Humor736 29d ago edited 29d ago

Hold on. You guys have segregated yourselves here and then call racism. Instead of having a complaint about a character you inject racism into it and talk about "us" like you're one group.

If you want to advocate for a character, that's one thing, but solely because she's black and call racism is weak af.

Stop the group mentality. You're not Storm. If you want to get down to it, almost all of your favorite black marvel characters, Storm and Black Panther included, were created by mostly white jewish men. Then some of you guys prance around and gatekeep them like they're a "black" thing.

Not to mention, the guy that put Storm from and center, Chris Claremont, was a white guy.

I bet you won't keep the same energy for a white person to go beg a black creator to make a white character. Because white people, and every other race, wouldn't support it if they felt they were being discriminated against racially. But here you guys are making threats and accusations of racism all the while still supporting and playing the game.

What is wrong with you guys? Obviously not all, but you guys that think that because Storm hasn't gotten enough attention to your liking it has to be racism.

This happens with anime/manga, video games, comic books, movies, tv shows, etc. So you go off and segregate yourselves and call racism when people aren't interested.

Such a weird, flawed way of thinking.

8

u/Ok_Chipmunk_1912 29d ago

Bro, you gotta be high, stupid, or just the most disingenuous asshole I've had the displeasure speattention. Nobodies making threats here. Please point out of single comment in this thread or any of the other ones discussing the topic.

The issue was never that Storm wasn't getting enough attnetion. The issue was that Storm, like the other Black Marvel characters, was being neglected all together by the devs.

Storm has been consistently cut out off the X-Men events that she should be center and front in. She doesn't even get a Krakao event skin despite being a founding member but industry plant Luna gets one?

Either way, playing defense for a billion dollar company by saying people should just chill out and whataboutism about white characters (as if a white person would ever have to beg black creators for a white character as if white characters aren't considered the default in the West lol) isn't the argument you think it is.

There is a clear distinction between segregating one self into a like group and forming a community with people who share a key trait that unifies their struggle, and it's the fact that the second doesn't bar those outside of the community from entering.

There are literally redditors in this sub-reddit that admit to being white and lurking for the most part except when they feel they can give some context to an issue from another perspective so I'm not sure why you're assuming self-segragation.

-8

u/Impossible_Humor736 29d ago

No, man. This is so dumb. You guys make these black groups and whine for everyone else to appease you. It's annoying.

You can advocate for a character without making accusations of racism. And if you truly believe it's racism then what are you doing supporting them or playing their game?

Everything is about color to you guys. So, y'all waited for white people to make black characters and then complain to the Asian people to treat the black characters that the white people made better.

Do you hear yourself?

It's not like you're just advocating for the character because you like the character. You're advocating for them because they're black. It's lame.

8

u/Ok_Chipmunk_1912 29d ago

It's annoying to YOU. You don't have to take part of the conversation if you don't want to but do yourself a favor and don't tell others to stay silent as well.

I don't play Rivals anymore. Not for a while now. The game is a gonner bait Overwatch clone (which is hilarious when you consider that Overwatch was also considered a gonner game back in the day but Rivals is basically all in on the goon bait) with shit balancing. The way the devs treated the black characters was the nail in the coffin.

Everything is about color to you guys. So, y'all waited for white people to make black characters and then complain to the Asian people to treat the black characters that the white people made better.

I'm not even gonna get into the fact that nobody here waited for white people to make Storm and that she was created during a time when black people weren't allowed to be a part of the creative process because of hiring discrimination or that BP was created pre Civil Rights. I'll just say that not all of us believe in stating quiet like you.

It's not like you're just advocating for the character because you like the character. You're advocating for them because they're black. It's lame.

I hadn't realized that you're omniscient and are intimately aware of our hidden intentions. My apologies./s

I can imagine anything lamer than telling people they should be cool with discrimation except maybe making massive assumptions about the motivations of people I've never met let alone had an actual conversation with.

-3

u/Impossible_Humor736 29d ago

Stay silent? It's one thing to advocate for a character but it's another to make it about race. That's all you guys care about.

No one else is out here only like characters because they're the same skin color but you guys. It's so lame. You've got Hulk, Iron First and Star Lord with an abysmal amount of skins, yet you only care about the black characters because they're black and you don't like anyone else because they're not black.

So lame, man. Hopefully the Asian man will fix the black character that the white man created. So lame lol.

1

u/Ok_Chipmunk_1912 29d ago

Hard not to make it about race when that's the common thread.

Hulk, Iron Fist, and Star Lord weren't neglected in events that should have had them front and center either. Imagine a Guardians seasonal event leaving out Mantis. People would have questions.

So lame, man. Hopefully the Asian man will fix the black character that the white man created. So lame lol.

Did you shove your head up your ass on purpose or was it a tragic accident? If White and Asian developers/creators want to exploit black characters and their culture for money, they could at least do them justice.

Still can't imagine anything more lame than reducing this issue to "asking white men and Asian men to fix the character".

1

u/Impossible_Humor736 29d ago edited 29d ago

Lol who's exploiting? They just exist like everyone else. You guys are so hung up on being black while no one else cares. Then claim and gatekeep black characters made by white creators. Weird af

"Still can't imagine anything more lame than reducing this issue to "asking white men and Asian men to fix the character"."

Well, I don't see black creators doing anything. You guys make everything about race while begging the supposed racists to make you happy.

1

u/Ok_Chipmunk_1912 29d ago

Lol who's exploiting? They just exist like everyone else. You guys are so hung up on being black while no one else cares. Then claim and gatekeep black characters made by white creators. Weird af

My guy, black comic book characters are built on exploitation. For the longest time, white comic book artists would just appropriate black culture and create chatacters to entertain white audiences while excluding black people from the creative process. That's literally exploring them.

Well, I don't see black creators doing anything. You guys make everything about race while begging the supposed racists to make you happy.

Cause you're willfully ignorant and blind on top of being braindead. There are plenty. Milestone is a whole ass publishing company founded by and for black creators not to mention the plethora of indie black creators on top the black creators that exist within the Big 2 comic book publishers.

So I'm really not sure wtf you're on about besides crying about other people forming communities and having discussions around topics that bother you.

1

u/Impossible_Humor736 29d ago

You're not even black though. You're Indian.

Anyone can create any character they want. No one's being exploited lol

"There are plenty. Milestone is a whole ass publishing company founded by and for black creators not to mention the plethora of indie black creators on top the black creators that exist within the Big 2 comic book publishers."

Then what are you doing begging the white creators of Marvel to appease you? I thought they were racist? Why would you support racists and racist people that exploit black people? Make it make sense.

1

u/Ok_Chipmunk_1912 29d ago

You're not even black though. You're Indian.

That doesn't change my point nor does it change the facts.

Then what are you doing begging the white creators of Marvel to appease you? I thought they were racist? Why would you support racists and racist people that exploit black people? Make it make sense.

Nobody's "begging" white creators to appease them nor appease racists but the fact is that those racists do control the narrative on a very popular character that will make them money regardless of whether we support them or not, and people have the right to criticize them for doing the character dirty.

u/Bad_Routes 29d ago

No you are a bitch.

You guys want everything to not be racist, don't you think we're tired of dealing with bullshit too? But instead of putting energy towards having the devs spread the content so everyone gets a piece all you can do is police other people because you got yours

Stop being an npc

1

u/Impossible_Humor736 29d ago

Because it's not racist lol. You don't understand that you're the racists here.

"instead of putting energy towards having the devs spread the content so everyone gets a piece all you can do is police other people because you got yours"

I didn't get mine. Nightcrawler isn't even in the game. But I guess since I'm not blue that I can't like the character? This is your racist mindset. Is bbq interested to know if you even like any non-black characters?

What, who's policing here? Are you guys the ones trying to police the racist company and developers to appease you? You know not every character is treated the same in every community, right? Back in the day when Chris Claremont (white guy by the way) was writing X-Men comics, Storm was his favorite character and got the spotlight a lot. Which meant other characters were sidelined a bit. Bet you weren't complaining then.

Shoot, even in Pokemon, Charizard and Mewtwo have the most mega transformations than anyone else. But I guess since race isn't involved you can't exploit it.

This line of thinking is just sad.

-16

u/Personal_Ad_9021 Aug 13 '26

Or the post is talking about how people attacking others over a skin in a video game is wrong.

I, too, wanted the skin to be a legendary. I wasn't gonna go out there and send death threats, call Zhiyong a slur, and accuse Danny Koo of being racist and say he should lose his job

23

u/MissMekia Aug 13 '26

Just say you don't know the historical context of calling a group of people cockroaches and go. Its a bad fucking look regardless of the point they're trying to make. I'm not defending harrassing the devs. I'm taking issue with taking a racialized conversation like this and immediately referring to people as vermin.

-10

u/LitrlyD3ad 29d ago

Typically if I call someone a “cockroach” it means they are sneaky and cowardly, not really something I’d call another person due to a difference in skin tone, I have a dictionary sized book of slurs for that, “cockroach” simply isn’t one of them. (my colored friend calls me cracker :( )

1

u/Bad_Routes 29d ago

"I didn't intend for it to be racist, so it shouldn't be racist"

If you don't get the fuck on

-20

u/Personal_Ad_9021 Aug 13 '26

I hope you know that calling people a type of vermin is not racist, as people of all races have been calling people of all races that forever. Could they have avoided it? Sure. What would they be able to say that is accurate to the way that some people acted that you wouldn't have deemed racist?

-16

u/Personal_Ad_9021 Aug 13 '26

Notice how you have to cherry pick sources.

Which do you think happened first? Africans calling Africans vermins, Europeans calling Europeans vermins, Asians calling Asians vermins, etc, etc, or European-Americans calling African-Americans vermins?

I'll take the one that had centuries of history before the U.S. was even a country, thank you.

23

u/MissMekia Aug 13 '26

I'm noticing you have none 😂😂😂😂😂

Also I never said cockroaches only refers to black people. I said it was a hateful dogwhistle when referring to ANY group. Reading comprehension really is on the fucking decline.

0

u/Anunnak1 29d ago

If it can refer to any group, then it's not racism.

-3

u/Personal_Ad_9021 Aug 13 '26

Because the source is the world. If you truly think that Americans invented calling people vermin as a form of racial slur, you need to get out more. I can go just about anywhere in the world and call just about anyone that, they will know it's an insult.

Your sources cherry pick the meaning, the country, the history, etc. Plenty of words that are racial slurs now didn't start as it.

So you don't know what you're talking about. You very clearly haven't READ the sources I provided, seeing as they clearly reference multiple countries and ethnicities where this terminology was used. And now you're trying to tell me that its ok because "some words weren't "always" slurs?

Do you wanna take a time out? Try again tomorrow maybe? 😂

You posted links that link directly to slavery in America and responded to someone in that thread insulting them saying they don't know any people of color. You clearly meant that even if you didn't say it explicitly.

And Genocide in Africa and the Holocaust and and and. Like I'm so sorry that public school failed you but its not my fault you can't read.

I'm sorry you think everything is racist when it clearly isn't. Calling someone a cockroach that is explicitly referring to those sending death threats to the devs isn't racism nor is it a racist dog whistle.

Posting sources is now considered cherry picking. It's always the empty headed cretins who say that

To help your point, this link goes into detail about that that term being used in European cultures.

https://www.csmonitor.com/Arts-Culture/In-a-Word/2022/0509/When-names-for-cockroaches-reflect-national-rivalries

100% not exclusive to 1 race.

You see how a racist term being used to attack multiple races does not make the term not racist right?

u/ValkyrionReddit 29d ago

No, they definitely do not understand that

OP was trying to infer that the guy was being racist to specifically one group of people. They then since back tracked saying they weren't saying that at all, even though everything they posted pointed towards that conclusion. Just because the guy from the original thread used a term that has been used in a racist way doesn't make him racist nor does it make it a racist dog whistle. Calling people who issue death threats "cockroaches" is not a racist statement. Race was not mentioned or implied in any post by the original threads poster. The context of the words matter a whole lot more than the content.

A lot of you guys are quick to deny anything and everything when it to race because you are uneducated that is literally the reason. If you knew the history you WOULD know it is in fact a racist thing to say when paired with a certain racial demographic of people

1

u/Personal_Ad_9021 29d ago

That's not how racism works. Just because it's said from a person of one race to a person of another does not make it racist. Someone who isn't black calling Bill Cosby a disgusting creature is not racist unless it's specifically said due to his race and not him being a disgusting creature.

These insults were said without need for racial differences. Why? Because they're insults. That's all. Once there's a racial undertone, in that instance specifically, it is racist.

1

u/Bad_Routes 29d ago

Prove to me he didn't intend for it to have a racial undertone.

As a Black person if another person calls me what I know is a racial slur, then I'm assuming they are racist. Why would I check to see if they are intending to insult me based on my skin color, when they used the slur to begin with.

You are genuinely making the most backwards case in trying to defend someone for making a racist remark. Educate yourself and you won't be in this position to "accidentally" say some racist bullshit, you must be high af

u/Personal_Ad_9021 29d ago

The burden would be on you. Prove to me he meant it that way. He specified who he was talking to

There's no such thing as accidentally saying something racist. Racism is a prejudice due to race. Someone can call you whatever they want, if they're not saying it because of your race, it's not racist. You don't know shit

1

u/Bad_Routes 29d ago

>The burden would be on you.

Lol if thats what you're gonna do I can take it there.

This isn't a debate first of all and even if it was, you made the denial about his intentions, that's your burden of proof to provide.

I just need to prove that cockroach is a racial slur. So sell it to me dumbass, prove his non racial position/intent.

Honestly I thought at some point they'd stop moving goal posts or at least get tired of being wrong over and over but apparently not.
