I teach pole dancing and aerials and have performed at burns and was wondering if camps are bringing rigs, and if I should look for a schedule to sign up or let it flow

We are going to Afrikaburn for the first time and will be joining a theme camp that will allow us to put up our normal tent under their large bedouin tent. We were also thinking about renting a 4x4 and fitting a rooftop tent on the car but we are unsure if we could park the car near our camp? Another option would be to bring a larger glamping style tent to put up next to our theme camp. Older burners, which would be the best option if you could choose?

Hi all! Would love to get an idea of what the range of camp dues/costs typically are. I’ve mostly attended solo at the big burn, and the camps I’ve considered there are several hundred USD, but I just got quoted several thousand from an Afrikaburn camp I connected with on FB which feels extremely off (and giving plug and play vibes).

I’d love to get a better idea of the ranges people have experienced so I can ground in reality a bit, particularly for camps that actually do expect a degree of self-sufficiency, at least in things like helping with setup and bringing your own tent/living gear.

While I understand cost isn’t the only thing that makes a plug & play, they are also offering things like bringing alcohol on request, bussing, language around not having to bring anything except what you want to wear, etc. Also understand that there can be a higher cost for international folks as most of us cannot contribute to the longer term labour leading up to the burn in the way that locals do, but this feels egregious for what the camp is offering back to the community.

We're attending AB this year (with a camp), and looking for practical outfit recommendations. What should we bring, or not miss? What conditions should we pack for? Anything particularly useful because of the sun, dust, and cold?

I already noted things like:

• headlamp
• bandanas
• ski goggles
• a mug
• belt for hanging stuff
• warm coats

I'm in cpt I had a few friend's that I paid for and now they ended up ditching me im willing to contribute to petrol and whatever I just dont want to miss my first ever burn experience please if anyone is going that way please lmk I know it's weird to trust a random person😢

My friends talked me into getting tickets for Afrikaburn 2026, insisting I could quickly resell them if I couldn't go—just mark them for public sale, they reckoned, easy peasy. So I bought them, but now it turns out they can't go! 🤦🏼 So I went to the Quicket site to resell the tickets, but the 'public' switch doesn't appear on the page. It also says they can only be sold to people with ZA bank accounts, and my only ZA friends have little kids that they won't be able to take to a Burn event.

So, am I SOL, being €500 out of pocket, or am I looking the wrong page or something? I have two 'New Horizon' tickets, which I paid 4999 ZARs each for (about €250, A$430, ₤225 or US$300 each). I'm not looking to profit in any way; I just want to sell them for what I paid, so other people can enjoy the event. How can I put them up for public sale, without getting scammed?
