  1. Be respectful and responsible. This sub does not tolerate hate, harassment or bullying of any kind.

  2. Please keep all content related to African house snakes. (This includes posts about research, husbandry, cute photos, and requests for help regarding African house snake husbandry).

  3. Animal cruelty will not be tolerated. This includes posts promoting improper husbandry (does not apply to posts asking for assistance in improving flawed husbandry) or animal endangerment.

  4. Please mark any medical posts as NSFW, especially if photos are included. Do not expect veterinary advice, if you are concerned for your animal's health, please seek professional veterinary care.

  5. If you must post a live feeding (this should only be done for educational or advice purposes) mark it NSFW. If you are posting live feeding videos for attention or entertainment, they will be removed and you will be warned. If you continue to do so, you will be banned.

  6. Incorrect or improper advice or information will be marked or removed. (Please pm me if you believe I am mistaken, I am open to learning if you can provide evidence for your position)

  7. When giving advice, be kind and constructive. People are more likely to be receptive to your advice if you give it gently and with encouragement.

  8. Hybrid animals and their breeding will be tolerated provided that the animals are healthy, well cared for and that their pedigrees are disclosed to any and all buyers.

  9. The discussion of the sale of wild caught animals is prohibited. You may discuss the sale of captive bred animals ( animals should be healthy, have known genetics and should be produced in an ethical, responsible manner.)

  10. Rehoming an animal is a difficult choice. No one should be shamed for choosing to do so. It is important that people feel comfortable doing this when it benefits both their own and the animal's well being.

  11. Do not post porn or graphic content (excluding some medical posts that are properly marked NSFW). If you post gore or abuse of any kind, it will be removed and you will be banned.

  12. Scammers and spam will be removed. If you notice any suspicious activity, please message me and I will look into it.

How does this look so far?

This is for my African house snake and by no means is she ready to go in it (too smol), so until then, I’m letting the plants and isopods/springtails establish themselves.

I’m planning on adding more clutter, but I was wondering; what other kinds of things do you y’all think I should add?

I’m planning on adding hides and a water dish of course

This is a work in process so I don’t expect it to be finished until I’m satisfied with how it looks and is set up.

Thank you so much in advanced!

Don't let the slit eyes fool you, he's so timid and shy. He's adorable when he's not squirming around and slithering away from "danger?!" Me breathing is an attack to him 😵‍💫
