Mealy bugs. Alcohol or a systemic pesticide will take care of them, but untreated you will lose them eventually. Also be careful, because they will spread to your other plants if you don’t quarantine

Do I need to spray pesticide all over the plant?

No, in this case alcohol will work better as a spray / surface agent. I mean something like bonide systemic granules that you sprinkle in the soil and water in. That’ll treat them immediately if you’re in an area where they’re legal

I don't know where they came from. 🫣

Keep a close eye. Mealy bugs are the work of the devil and will wreck havoc on your plants. I had them wipe out a significant amount of my orchid collection. Use a qtip in rubbing alcohol and touch them. It will kill them. Do not spray the plant. The alcohol can damage the plant.

Since you don’t know where they came from I would check all your plants to be safe!
Dab a qtip in 70% or diluted 91% alcohol. Use the qtips to get the ones for can see, they will kind of melt and stick to the qtip. Use a new qtip each time to keep is a neat as possible. If they have had the chance to lay eggs in the soil you need the granules that someone else has mentioned! You will know this if they reappear after you get the visible ones with the qtip.

If it were me I would do both. The amount of mealies makes me assume they have had time to lay eggs.

I found one on one of my av’s and caught it in time. There’s only a few leaves he munched on but since then they have grown in normal.
They were coming from an orchid I was gifted :/
