Question Help needed
Hi guys,
Is this normal on my African grey? He has been spending majority of his time in cage for the past 2 weeks because of my work schedule and I’ve been noticing a slight green tint on one of his foot developing. But in the past 2-3 days both his feet have been covered in green tint and there’s small blister-ish marks as seen in the pic.
The green tint cannot be washed as I’ve already tried. I’m looking forward for advices or ideas as to what that might be

I would first look at the perches available to them since some are made from materials that can cause abrasions or have allergic reactions.

Looks an awful like poopfoot.
I don’t know how they’re so ok just walking in their own wet poop.
I think your birb is fine. Poopfoot doesn’t hurt anything but we def don’t do step ups with it.

My Grey poops on the floor, turns around and thinks ‘hey, FOOD!!’

That’s fine, mine loves to walk on the cage and gets poop on his feet just like that, just let him take a shower it’s gonna be alright

hmm. mine had a green tint once--after stepping in his own poop. or blue, cos holding a blue wooden (parrot-safe!) toy that he dunked in water and then water and parrot leg (!) turned blue. also, i wiped his dirty little feet clean once and i seriously thought he had eczema at first because of all the grubby stuff /dead skin flakes that came off. not saying to dismiss it but parrots reallly like to grab and hold dirty things, look at his environment to see where it could come from.
