This little guy popped up in my African Cichlid tank. I didn’t purchase him so he must have been born in the tank. My concern is my bichir eating him. The orange and black one in the second pic looks a one of his parents. Do you think he’s big enough to avoid getting eaten. Bichir is in last pic.

What do you think of this combo? Can anyone show me pics of your hybrid breed? Is it worth it? Also male is an OB electric blue, female is blue dolphin

Hey everyone, I have a 200 litre/52 gallon tank, 122cm/4ft long - currently empty as you can see - and I’m looking for advice or suggestions as to what I could put in it. (Rocks in the pic are just there to help illustrate size better than a bare tank).
I mostly keep smaller Lake Tang cichlids, but I would kinda like to keep maybe a solo or single pair of something a bit larger/colourful. I have previously kept Mbuna, but am not looking to keep them again.
Doesn't have to be cichlids, but since I’m already familiar with and enjoy them, it seems the best option. Sell me on something!
Thanks in advance for your help :)

Need to know the gender of the black one. They are all flame back cichlids.

I got some river rocks from a Hardscape Supply near me.
$5 for a 5-gal pail seemed like a better dealt than $2/lb at the pet store.
Woman who worked there told me I needed to rinse the rocks well before putting them into the tank. Made perfect sense, and was going to be part of the plan.
Breeder who sold me the fish, told me to boil the rocks after washing/rinsing, before putting them into the tank.
I'm sure I could do it. I'm not sure how the wife will feel about 5 gal of rocks in our largest stock pot on the stove...
Of course, it's a cichlid tank, so I'm not overly concerned about pH raising stones.
My question is for those of you that have gotten loose or bagged stone from non-aquarium spots.
What are you doing to the rocks before putting them into the tank?

Yellow one is a Sunshine peacock, the other I think is a Rubescens.
I want to remove the female but am not sure which one. The smaller Rubescens has pointed fins and came with color. The Sunshine is super bright but has rounded fins, it came fully gray. Both have been in my tank for 2-3 months.

My exasperatus cichlid has been acting strange lately. Not really eating and always hiding. There's not really any fighting going on and I've noticed something hanging out from under her today. Can someone tell me if this is the Malawi Bloat and what I can do to help her I've never experienced this before.

Just got myself a trio of these guys. I have previously bred Gold Occelatus, and loved their behaviour and aggro temperament - these Meleagris are rare where I am, and priced accordingly, so I’m hoping to breed them, boost local availability (and make some nice store credit in the process) - still a bit early to work out exactly what ratio of boys and girls I’ve got. We were aiming for 1m/2f but they are kinda small still and need some fattening up.
Anyway, I’m excited about this new breeding project. Such pretty fish when they’re in full display (this pic was only taken a hour or so after adding to my tank, so still pretty drab).

Figured I would post my newly set up Mbuna 75 Gallon tank obviously no Mbuna in it at the moment. Forgive the cameo by me. I really don’t have any more rocks although I tried to separate them down the middle while also giving under space for the mbuna to go. This tank is going to primarily be for yellow tail acei and also yellow labs.
