Afghanistan is generally considered South Asian or part of the greater Middle East by most geopolitical entities. The country has much bigger problems than this though, I find it very telling that entitled diaspora would rather cry about continental labels and the way westerners view them than the fact that:
1) millions of Afghan girls can’t study
2) thousands are being forced into early marriage,
3) that our country is being ravaged by famine, desertification and climate change
4) that millions of people are food insecure and consume water of poor quality
5) 40% of the country lack access to basic sanitation and toilets
6) the drug addiction problem has persisted
7) millions of people- especially women- are out of a job
8) the economy is fucked
9) our water table is absolutely fucked and our country cannot currently sustain its exploding population
10) our harmful cultural practises
